snoop1130 Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 The selection of Thailand’s prime minister will be key to the performance of the Thai economy, whether it will continue to improve and prosper or go in the opposite direction, said Associate Professor Dr. Thanawat Pholvichai, rector of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and advisory chair of the Economic and Business forecast centre, today (Thursday). Parliament is currently in session to select Thailand’s next prime minister, with Move Forward party leader Pita Limjaroenrat as the sole candidate. He said that businessmen, both Thai and foreign, and the public are closely monitoring the selection process, with serious concerns about if or when a prime minister will be selected. tomazbodner Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 Given the figures now (about 10 senators voted for Pita only) I think he stands no chance of getting elected today.

Pita promised lot of things that would be very harmful....but on the other hand Prayuth steered everything in the wrong direction as well.....so as you say regardless of government.... 2

And the prove was in Belgium were there was for about 580 days a formation period. In that period the country did financially better then all the other European countries.
RichardColeman Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 I'd say if the health of the Thai economy is linked to the PM, then currently the economy is well and truly on the road to being up the Khyber ! 1

Thailand isn't in Europe, Thailand isn't a European democracy and PM Prayut once admitted it took his junta government four years to RESTORE (not advance) the economy to what it was before the military coup. 1
