Fake Policeman Cheats Money From Motorbike Riders

Featured Replies

At 1.20 am on 10th July the Pattaya police were called to help Mr. Jorn, aged 29, a motorbike taxi rider at

Wat Chaimongkhon Temple intersection since he and many other people had been cheated by a man who claimed to be a police officer.

On arrival the police found motorbike taxi drivers detaining drunken 50 year old Phuwanai who was injured from being beaten up. The police quickly escorted all to the police station.

It was found that Phuwanai goes around cheating motorbike taxi drivers around the town for money – mostly asking them to take him somewhere and then not pay.

Phuwanai confessed that he has made a living out of threatening residents for a long time, using any excuse to get money off them by claiming to be a police officer.

Apparently many residents got revenge by beating this man up and further proceedings will also be done on him for impersonating a police officer.
