was planning on congratulating Australia on retaining the Ashes, but as the thread is full of whining Aussies talking nonsense i won't bother.

Shame the weather got in the way of what up till now was a cracking test series that despite the uneducated comments from the Aussies on here, could have gone either way.

Actually i am better than that, congratulations on retaining the Ashes.

Ban all future Test cricket in England !

The chances of completing a series of 5 day games in the middle of the English summer is remote.

A waste of time and effort for the visiting players and supporters.

The constant rains mean the series are based on luck.

Once the games are played in a neutral environment with decent weather and  without 'pitch fixing' we will all see how bad English cricket really is .

You won your Ashes because of bad weather not winning it on the field.

Not won yet, merely RETAINED.

Which is a win.

No it isn't. You win the Ashes if you take them off the team currently holding them. Or, at a push, if as holder you win the series.

One of the biggest cheating Scandals was caused by 3 top Aussie test cricketers, Captain Steve Smith, Vice Captain David Warner and the Aussie test Coach Darren Lehmann were caught using Sandpaper to alter the swing of the ball in Cape Town in 2018. It is now known as Sandpapergate.

One if not the biggest cheating storm in Test Cricket and will remain as one of the biggest scandals in test Cricket committed by Aussies.

No it was minor. What the poms did was far worse. 150 years of cheating starting with WD Grace.

Plus sore losers.

Far more sneeky and worse. Zippers, mints and sunscreen.

Roar an Australian Sports paper says it all.The latest candidate is Monty Panesar, who slammed Steve Smith in an Indian newspaper, claiming he should always be known as a cheat and should never be considered a cricketing great because of the sandpaper incident

whingers v the cheaters ????

They both take a silly game too seriously.

Australia do very well at it, as they do in many sports, despite being a new country, unlike my country, who invented so many things, including golf yet can't play the silly game to save their lives. My nephew is Australian and plays for a Yorkshire team as a living!

Trescothick in no way portrayed his actions as those of a rogue operator. Rather, he gave the impression the whole team was in on it, that it was systematic tampering. This is the same team that was feted again and again this series by commentators and fans.
