The answer to your question see below. The Junta would have to somehow amend the Constitution to reinstate the Senate's voting power to elect a PM.

The very reason that the Junta will have to be in power this time so they can reinstate the Senators so their hold on politics continues. Surely the coalition of MFP and Co know this.

Hmmm and i wonder what happens while this vote is postponed indefinitely…. The general and the guy who gave the senators there jobs will remain in charge…..

This game presents them with just what they want. The selection of a prime minister and government resulting from the General Election they lost over two months ago postponed indefinitely, any movement in the hands of the court which they control.

The MF party was not wise enough to leave article 112 alone until they were firmly in power.

  One would think that an educated bunch of people would just focus on getting themselves elected

and approved by all the powerful people of Thailand, then maybe get a few things changed. Sadly

the younger Thais do not have patience these days. IMO

How much patience should they need? Throughout the first twenty years of this century elected governments have been repeatedly removed, and elections denied, by these "powerful people".

 

Two months (more) ago some 66% of the electorate emphatically rejected the rule of the " powerful people" and here we are, they are again frustrating the election.

The "younger" Thais know the game these days thanks mainly to the 'net etc.

They understand that tomorrow they could be looking at the wrong end of a army gun through no fault of their own.

They will never be "approved" by the powerful people of Thailand. Too much of a threat to the established envelope passers.????????

It is not about 112! Read bewteen the lines. This is what they want you to believe. 

 

It's all about MFP's 3D's. Thats what they are afraid of along with MFP's frightening poularity.   

Most of us might be dead before they decide on pm
