SARABURI: Following a gruesome incident where a young woman was found dead in a rented room, local police swiftly apprehended the suspect.

The 24-year-old victim, Miss Thongsuk from Lamphun province, was discovered lifeless, covered in a pink blanket, her body bruised and battered. Police received a tip-off about the crime at 1:00 PM on July 25th in Ban Mor, Sa Buri district, Saraburi province, reported Thai Rath.

A man, Mr. Alongkorn, aged 34, was in a relationship with the victim and had cohabited in the same room for about two months. Prior to the incident, he had a track record of contentious issues within the household and purportedly consumed alcohol around the time of the event.

According to a neighbor, he had been abusing Miss Thongsuk frequently. The fatal beating occurred after he claimed she had an affair.

Later that day, police intercepted Mr. Alongkorn's escape attempt on the Saraburi-Lomsak road, driving a Honda NSX. In custody, he confessed to unintentionally killing his wife and was brought in for further questioning.

Authorities are now conducting a thorough investigation and preparing charges of "causing harm resulting in death."

34 is a young man?

Great, I'm still middle aged then.

Regarding my judgement of the Thai society it´s hard to find people acting like responsible grown-ups in their 40-50s. So, I guess the presentation is quite in line with reality.

The capture of a violently jealous boyfriend who allegedly killed his 24 year old girlfriend before wrapping her body and leaving it in a rental room in Saraburi hit headlines yesterday. The man confessed to police, suggesting his girlfriend had too many male admirers, which sparked his jealousy.

The violent incident took place in a single-storey rental room, Room 3, in the central Saraburi province. An investigation revealed that the victim, 24 year old Thongsuk, from Lampang province, had sustained wounds on her face and forehead that suggested a heavy object had been used to strike her.

Her body, which had been wrapped in a pink blanket, was found scattered amongst items in the room, including fragments of a guitar and a bottle of alcohol in a blue bag by the room’s entrance. The victim is believed to have been dead for over five hours prior to the police’s discovery.

Panthasit Kaewdampradit, the Investigation Officer at Ban Mor Police Station, has begun collecting evidence from the crime scene. Meanwhile, the victim’s body has been transported to Thammasat Hospital in Pathum Thani province for further examination.

The accused man, 34 year old A-longkorn, was reportedly apprehended en route to his hometown in Phetchabun province on his Honda NCX bike registered 2กฒ413 Bangkok. Upon questioning, A-longkorn confessed to harming Thongsuk out of jealousy, as she frequently got attention from men due to her attractive looks while working as a server in a restaurant in Saraburi’s Sao Hai district, reported KhaoSod.
