Royal Thai Police under the leadership of Roy Inkpairoj, Deputy Commander of the Police Force, rolled out a campaign to enforce ten key traffic safety rules during the long public holiday period from July 28 to August 2. The measures taken to protect citizens during their holiday travels aim to prevent and reduce road accidents.

Heavy rain forecast for most of Thailand from July 29th to August 1st

Phuket island relocation tackles rampant macaque issue in Phetchaburi communities

In what’s being hailed as a successful initiative, multiple crab-eating macaques have been relocated from communities within Phetchaburi to an island in Phuket, under a pilot project. The venture has cleared the road for the relocation of more from the rapidly increasing macaque population in the province, as well as the neighbouring Prachuap Khiri Khan, according to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.

In an unusual accident involving a remote-controlled plane, a 48 year old woman suffered severe finger injuries and claims the responsible party, allegedly linked to a police officer, took little accountability. The incident occurred at a field near Bang Bua Thong School in Nonthaburi, a popular spot where people play with RC planes.

A fatal road accident occurred in the central province of Samut Songkhram today, claiming the life of 38 year old Suriya, a member of a large motorcycle group on a southern holiday trip. The incident came about as a pickup truck, with 33 years old Nonthaphon behind the wheel, attempted to turn into a petrol station, inadvertently crashing into the biker.

At approximately 03:30 am on July 29th, '66, the Highway Patrol Police Division 2 received a report of a sedan crash on the Sirat Expressway, resulting in a 15-meter fall from the elevated road.
