Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Thai Pride Party, shared a heartwarming moment on his personal Facebook page at 6:00 PM on July 28.

The post featured Anutin with a beaming smile, dressed in a yellow polo shirt, standing in front of a private plane. The caption read, "Overjoyed to have flown to pick up a heart with Dr. Pat Ongcharit in Roi Et today. #BlessedDay #MissionHeartOnWings."

Reportedly, Anutin was contacted by a medical team led by Dr. Pat Ongcharit, a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon from Chulalongkorn Hospital, reported Daily News.

They urgently needed assistance in flying to Roi Et to retrieve organs from a brain-dead donor, which could save the lives of patients waiting for transplants.

Anutin has been piloting private planes to support medical teams in transporting organs across the country since 2014, in what he calls the "Operation Heart On Wings." This vital mission has facilitated numerous life-saving organ transplants when commercial flights or other means of transport were not feasible.

It looks like s single engine turbo prop which might require a type rating and probably the equivalent of a commercial pilot certificate.  This could be like saying John Travolta piloted a B727 in his time.  The truth might be an experienced commercial pilot was the PIC (Pilot in Command) with a co-pilot?  Co-pilot could mean someone who has very limited experience.

Don't believe everything you read in the newspaper.

Why a commercial PL? This is a non profit flight right

Would have been doing much more to his credentials as a true benevolent caring person without the photo opp, but him being a politician using any opportunity for a spot in the lime lights, the shine of a good deeds are somewhat dimmed.

He's been a pilot for decades, and has been providing emergency air transport for organ transplants for a while.

A commercial license has not just type of flight but all to do with ratings for type of plane your flying & how your flying it...meaning visual flight references or instrument flight etc etc

If you are rated to fly single-engine land airplanes, you can fly any of them, so long as they are less than 12,500 pounds and not turbine-powered.

Although it is possible to get  correct training and certifications for all types of add-ons

Things you often hear in an Anutin sentence no heart and brain dead.. any drug wipe required when piloting ????

To fly a complex turbine powered aircraft requires more experience than  private pilots.  I would not trust a private pilot to fly me on a turbine powered aircraft.  I have been a pilot for over 35 years(Commercially rated, CFI and CFII) and I have known  private pilots with big and fast airplanes who are no longer flying.  Some are now flying in the clear blue skies of heaven.

I was the first on scene of an aircraft crash.  A C421 went off the takeoff end of the runway and both the pilot and passenger died.  The aircraft never got airborne and i noticed the control lock on the yoke had never been removed.  The private pilot had recently purchased the airplane.  It was one of the quickest NTSB investigation on record.

I doubt a Commercially rated pilot would have missed this item on the preflight checklist.

Convenient piece of publicity whilst rumours swirl of Anutin potentially falling into the PM position.

Too bad most Thais haven’t forgiven or forgotten the incompetent and corrupt Covid response.

I bet he had a proper gander at the plane before he flew it; in a bear- faced (sic) kind of way!

Truly large men do something because it is the right thing to do, and they do it in silence and in private.

Very small men do something good, and the whole world needs to know about it. They post it on social media, and make sure to juice the opportunity, for every bit of credit.

Hope not. The extent to which he failed during covid was unforgivable. He had no business being health minister to begin with. His game is concrete, not health.

It would appear that what most Thai people think, feel, want or desire in this sphere is irrelevant and will probably remain so for some time to come unfortunately.

That’s a bit OTT mate. I have been a commercially rated helicopter pilot since the 90’s and know a few people lucky enough to have plenty of money so they can have the fancy sofisticated non turbine powered aircraft and turbine powered and I am very happy to fly with them. I accept there’s more training to fly them competently but to say I wouldn’t trust a private pilot would be on a case by case basis. I’ve know and know of several commercial pilots with high flight hours that have lost aircraft through senseless errors, some are lucky to be with us still and some are not. You must have had a bad experience.

Four years or less - this’d all the time the old boys have left.

Next election, it’s all over for them.

Thanathorn or Pita will be PM.

Thaksin will be lucky to win 30 seats.

It is already game, set and match.

Time to wheel the fat lady out and let her sing.

A private jet. You know, one of those planes with the whirly thing on the front. ????

For once I'll tip my hat to him... should stay out of politics though.

Dirty pilot desperate to cling onto the hearts (and votes) of unelected majority.
