Why would you talk about forum moderation rules. Feel free to expand. I stated that if I posted some of his extreme hate speech attacks on those who stood up for Pride they would be deleted. What makes you think they wouldn't when they are riddled with profane language and threats?

If you think I'm dumb enough to take that stink bait you've underestimated me.

PS I believe it's against forum rules to have multiple accounts.

If a Muslim commits a crime does that entitle us to use derogatory language towards Muslims?

Jesus Freak is a derogatory term for evangelical Christians. It is hate speech. No different to calling a Jew a Yid. Disgraceful.

He is a Jesus freak and I am more than happy to call him that when he has murdered an innocent 66 year old woman and the attacks he made on his feed he justified by those beliefs. A complete nutcase. I would post examples but they would be deleted.

Are you not listening to Chomper?

According to him the reasons for the attack are, as yet, unknown.

Do you have evidence that the killer was motivated by religious beliefs?

Yes.

Yes I do.

If a Muslim trolled twitter spewing hate speech and attacks on others including threats because of his misguided assumption that he was doing the work of Allah. Sure he would also have taken his beliefs to somewhere that is not reality. If he then went onto murder someone because of those same misguided beliefs I would also call him a freak. Why because he would be. No religion advocates murder

Nice try.

Calling someone a Freak and calling someone a Jesus Freak are 2 completely different things. But you already knew that.

Maybe just apologize for your mistake and we can all move on.

I made no mistake.

So you're OK with religious bigotry, referring to evangelical Christians as Jesus Freaks?

OK, good to know who I am dealing with when the mask slips.

Not quite correct.

At the time of me saying I look forward to hearing the motivation, the motivations were not yet known.

Reports are coming in that are providing more information.

I look forward to hearing fuller reporting.

I made no mistake.

I still don't understand your point.

You suggested he justified the killing with his religious beliefs.

I jokingly pointed out you were therefore at loggerheads with Chomper.

It obviously went over your head.

No I am happy to call him a jesus freak because he has no idea of the teaching of Christianity and instead uses it as a justification to attack others.

I'm very correct.

However, thanks for admitting you were wrong with your initial assessment.

Shame you didn't think about that previously, prior to it being pointed out.

Never mind. It's a start.

At the start of this discussion you were OK with posting arguments based on your assertions of Christian’s and Muslims being intolerant.

Again, not quite right.

I have stated the motivations were not, at that time known.

I did not say the motivation was not religious.

Just as an aside I don't think Jesus Freak is a particularly pejorative term. I'm old enough to remember the 60s and Jesus Freaks were just thought of as a wacky movement but nothing sinister; they were all love and peace. In fact they came to own the name, calling themselves that.

https://www.compellingtruth.org/Jesus-freak.html

"Jesus freak" was a term used to describe the non-traditional Christians of the Jesus Movement. "Freak" here means enthusiast, and although the term was originally used by outsiders, believers in the movement adopted it as their own.

It's a rather derogatory label of course, but certainly not hate speech.  A bit like bible-bashers I suppose.

My initial assessment was to await further information.

Tell me how that assessment was wrong.

We still do not know what motivated the attacker.

So not her fault but the fault of LGBTQ militants? Anyone but the shooter and the anti LGBQT movement?

lookit you putting words in my mouth.

Nice try, but of course it is the shooter's fault.

That said extremist rhetoric has brought us to a situation where ANYONE who does not blindly accept LBGTQ rehetoric is demonised. That in turn creates animosity from the other extreme.  its a vicious cycle and nether extreme is in the right.
