impulse Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Assuming the SF Standard is correct, this will save me $45 and an hour in the clinic each trip for the ATK test required to get on a flight to China. https://sfstandard.com/2023/08/28/china-ditches-covid-test-requirement-incoming-travelers/ 1
sqwakvfr Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 But what about the 16 page visa application? 1 1 1
Srikcir Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Good news but doesn't change fundamental challenges facing foreigners in China. "Sharp Decline in the Number of Foreigners in China Demands Serious Attention," June 2023. https://www.pekingnology.com For example, "... the actual implementation of China's policies and social-cultural environment still have room for improvement to effectively accommodate foreigners." A very "softball" observation. In terms of proportion of foreign residents in China, China lags behind (0.05%) even with countries like Laos (0.08%) and Cambodia (0.05%), or compared to other developed Asian nations such as Japan and South Korea (0.8%).

Danderman123 Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 How about obtaining a Chinese tourist visa for a Thai lady? The application implies its just about impossible.
Muzzique Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Good news for anyone traveling to China, no more Covid test requirement as of 8/30/23 Until they munch on a few more bats and launch another one that is. 1
