Sen Course In Thailand?

Featured Replies

Anyone know of a SEN (special educational needs) teacher training course in Thailand, or an online SEN course for teaching SEN children? A certified course would be great.

Frankly, out in the boonies at least, they don't even have special needs education available to those students who need it.

could you provide some more details?

i´m a sen pro (children), but there are a lot of different categories what we are needed for.

best regards

j.

I believe the point is that there is very little demand for SEN teachers or professionals in Thai schools because generally, special needs are not mentioned or addressed. The needs are usually ignored. You can't correct what (supposedly) isn't there.

There may be a growing awareness of handicaps, intellectual inabilities, problems such as dyslexia, etc., but you're only likely to find employment in the better international schools.

I'm a qualified (PGCE, MEd, TEFL) teacher moving to a new (international) school that follows the English curriculum. The school provides SEN support and I want to better support my SEN students. I think I'm going to have to take a trip another country to do a course there if there's nothing available online. Perhaps even the UK if there's nothing available in Asia, so I am open to international options.
