curiousteacher
Hello everyone, I have a conundrum. My Polish wife is applying for the e-visa Non O, from Poland, to join me, a British teacher at an international school here. We have all the documents except 2. 1. Proof of 'closing balance of 40,000 baht from sponsor in the last month'. I don't have a statement that has 40,000+ as a closing balance in the last month. Can I send a credit card statement showing available credit as more than 40,000 baht? That I have, and it is a Thai issued credit card? If not, any advice? Will they accept last payslip instead? 2. Invitation letter from'sponsor' - me. Not sure what format or hows to word it! All replies much appreciated. Thanks.

Popular Post BritTim
Take out a short term loan of 40,000 baht near the end of the month. Repay the loan once you have the monthly statement. 1

Maestro
@curiousteacher I see nothing on the website of the Thai embassy in Poland that indicates the availability of e-visa application. https://warsaw.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/nono?page=618e8d1f33302c61b24338d2&menu=5fa59ae0bc103314841cb142 Instead, a link to a paper application form is given: https://image.mfa.go.th/mfa/0/4SH3tgjzaB/VISA_application_form_2020.pdf

As you do have a Thai credit card with sufficient credit, go to an ATM, do a cash advance (withdrawal) with that credit card and put that money into your bank account to satisfy the closing balance requirement. That will cost you a bit (cash advance fees), but is guaranteed to work. 1
LukKrueng
I'm pretty sure they want to see the 40k in HER account in Poland, not in your account here. I only issued a "sponsor" letter once, was more of an invitation letter saying the applicant wishes to travel to Thailand and will stay with me. Nothing was said about sponsoring the guest nor any evidence of finance from my side. It was for a normal TV, not e-visa.

That's his bank balance, no?
mrwebb8825
They don't let poor people sponsor other poor people to come and live in Thailand. Pretty sad salary from an international school if you don't have 40k THB saved by now but you can fix that by doing what was posted above (cash withdraw, deposit, DON'T drink it all up). The letter is just "Dear IO. I Joe Smo, holder of Brit PP # xxxxxxxxxx, Non-B Visa # xxxxxxxx would like to sponsor my wife Jane Doeski, Holder of Polish PP # xxxxxxxx to come join me in Thailand at my home Address: 123 Soi 4, Nakon Nowhere, Thailand, xxxxx, Thank you, Joe Smo"
