A Bedlam Myth?

Featured Replies

I say we create a completely misleading Bedlam myth that we let fliter slowly through the genral populations rank. We won't tell them about Bedlam, we will tell them about something else all together. We won't tell them how to get to Bedlam either, we will make some stuff up about how one qualifies and watch them try to do whatever it is we said would work.

Could something like this work? Do you think it could be funny? What would be some ideas you would have to trick the non-Beds? I am I just weird?

To answer your last question first in a polite way....you are somewhat close to Chownah... :o

if it is a good rumour....might be fun. If it is harmless we might get away with forum rules etc...qustion is what could it be? Kayo, where are you when we need you?

I say we complain bitterly about the price and occasional double billing on our credit cards. All this is tempered somewhat by the free hat.

I read, once upun a time, that posting missleading or false information on a public forum is a bit of a no no. :D

Therefore, everything we read must be true! :o

That's a good idea! What about telling them to solve fake mysteries of TV or a riddle of some sort that would get them searching tons of old threads to find the answer to get into Bedlam, which we would give a much grander name to?

I was put off at first, by the head shaving and compulsory tattoo.

But now I've got used to it.

The wife looks better that way !!!! :o

That can't be all bad. :o

Yes, Kayo is good at this sort of thing. Maybe Chownah will have something to add, hint Chownah hint. :D

Are you proposing a treasure hunt? What happens when some turkey solves it & comes to claim his prize? Or they just get lead to the next clue?

Good idea though....

No, not at all. Just plant some rumors and see who bites and what they do. See if people will talk about it and try to help eachother figure out these mysteries that aren't there.

Something like:

There are secret parts to Thai Visa out there, if you want access you have to play "guess who is the undercover mod" game.... :o:D

That would work. It would have newbies jumping whenever someone over 500 posts shows up on the threads. :D

I think that you would need to get moderator approval first ...... remember the avatar swopping stunt we pulled?

that would have been a great one... :o

Human sacrifice and cannibalism gets my vote, anyone for a Thai Visa barbecue? :o

Don't forget that with our special decoder rings, Jet makes perfect sense on every post :o

I'm sorry guys and gals! I was a bit tied up. Strange things start happening after the big 10K. If you need further proof, just look at cdnvic's posts over the past few weeks! He's gotten funnier, and more consistently so!

As for me... I think I'm just getting more serious. I can't abide these amateurish games, childish posts, and silliness.

i wouldn't recommend crossing the 10K. The perks and special forum are not worth the stress.

:D

There is a myth that threads comeback and haunt you!

Boo :bah:

There is NO myth about Loppy being Boo. ;)

Human sacrifice and cannibalism gets my vote, anyone for a Thai Visa barbecue? :D

AYE!!!!!! :bah:

Can we start by lightly grilling some of the lasses? I just don't really fancy any Bebop Ribs or Tiger steak.

By the way, I thought it was really cool that after the smallish 5000 post mark was achieved, that George allows us access to

EDITED TO CONCEAL INFORMATION THAT IS DEEMDED A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO thai girls... :D

Oh but the hoops we have to jump through!!!

edit:this post has been edited to remove some confidential data. KAYO! you have been warned.

I thought Kayo was just a legend, stuff of myths that once grilled himself on the bedlam BBQ of banter!

I heard about that 10K forum, must be lonely eh....you and cdnvic twiddling thumbs....

:o

ps. Loppy is in chains for bad behaviour

How about we stick with the truth up to a certain point.

Like 500 posts will get you in.

And it's strictly quantity not quality.

But then we hint that it's like INTERESTING in here :o:D :D .

That should generate a flood of one line/word/smiley posts.

The secret is the partial truth (well they were right about....).

Having revealed what a sneaky b*st*rd I am I'll get my coat.

:D

we could tell them that we can read (but not post) in the moderator section and know very well of their warning levels, behind the back talk, etc......... :o

You could say you got a free T-shirt for starting a thread in every forum.

You make sense to yourself, the rest of us are the ones who need it, jeesh. :o

######, Kayo!! Sometimes you take things too far!! Keep yer yap shut!!! :o

The study of it is known as Cryptojetology. :D

Here's an idea (I think it will need Mod approval)

Don't over do it, but when one of us makes a post in open forum, don't really edit it, just add the edit line at the end using the name of any other Bedlam member..... hopefully, after a while, someone will notice and ask.

Change the font colour to (color="#808080") for added effect.

Would that work?
