What's your opinion on this? Jordan Peterson on Woke Mentality

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

 

Was trying to find the health forum, but couldn't seem to locate it.

 

Basically, the gist of it is that Jordon Peterson claims that a lot of these people are really suffering from depression or anxiety, but it's being rebranded as something else and normalized.

 

Any opinions?

He is the one who talk pure clear logic these days, and some would say the evil of logic!

 

Back in the time it was fully accepted and logic to stone people out of numerous reasons, and burn witches. How far have we really come in the sense of being matures intelligent human beings? There is multiple forces pulling in all directions, and going against it, cost, just ask Petersen about that!

I watched many of his videos and also the complete Joe Rogan interview. IMHO he is almost always right. And he has the education and the brain to explain why things are the way they are. 

The only strange issues with Jordan Peterson are his recent religious videos and his collaboration with the daily wire. Obviously, I don't know his deal with the daily wire but it seems that he sometimes "forgets" half the truth. I.e. he has interviews with people from the GOP and they criticize the DEMS - often with good reason. But then Jordan "forgets" to ask if there are maybe also some little issues with the GOP like having that orange moron running the show.

All in all, he is still one of my favorite people in videos. Joe Rogan and Lex Friedman are my other favorites.

I have absolutely no doubt all this wokeness is a sign of mental instability. What's actually going on is that those driving the world and politics are using these idiots to unravel stable society and create chaos from which they benefit enormously and forever. All these factions think they are gaining something by all the nonsense they spew. The entire left now is nothing like that of 50-70s. When the dust clears and damage done and society is crippled those at the apex will throw the woke under the bus and claim the mantle of power entirely for themselves. The puppeteers are not at all affected by the wokeness and in fact they don't believe any of it. It's just a ruse and a ploy to rot civilization.

 

It's not ok to create laws to prevent me from exercising my freedom of speech as a fundamental human right.

 

It is absolutely twisted to legally COMPEL me to speak, write, communicate certain words or uterences by law. This is antihuman rights. Beware of everyone advocating to force this upon you. Reject it and reject them. That is not remotely democratic under any circumstance.

 

Equality and gender issues. This is essentially a false flag of sorts or at very least red herring and a few other logical fallacies. None of this makes sense to a person with intelligence. Legions and armies are literally paid to bicker on the internet in support of insane polices that have no basis in reasoning or logic.

 

Green revolution. This is cynical ploy to redirect vast wealth from old industries to new and monopolize the new paradigm.

 

The middle class throughout the world has been destroyed. Having children is folly and economically perilous.

 

The entire thing is a psyop

30 years ago, long before woke, it was described similarly.  In both big cities and small towns, 99% of the people are decent and law abiding and 1% are scumbags. 

 

In big cities, 99% of the people live in fear.  In small towns, it's 1%.

 

I grew up in Chicago, and now I live in a small redneck town on an island in Texas.  Give me rednecks, any day of the week.  And I'm an agnostic, with a mechanical engineering degree and a yankee accent.  (Or so I'm reminded)

Well, on this very board dozens of people were deleted and banned for doing nothing more than speaking the truth. Even if you do not accept the truth it is at least their privilege to speak their mind at the human being.

 

Anyone that wittingly and by planning restricts my freedom through legislation, direct or indirect pressure or law.

 

You could start with looking at all the central banks and their policies joined at hip with anti human political agendas.

 

Trudeau personifies this but it's everywhere.

 

COVID was perfect example. That was a real low for humanity. Even this board.

This is a rich topic. Personally, I despise PC. I think it represents alot of what is wrong with contemporary culture, and especially America today. It is a major form of weakness, when you allow yourself to be easily offended, and take everything personally. Granted, there are things that can be perceived as offensive, but allowing yourself to be offended by tiny little things people say and do is a bit much! But, the people who are offended daily, by things others say, are just weak, and would benefit by growing thicker skin. Life can be rough and caustic at times, and for those of us who have grown thick skin, it is like water off a ducks back. No big deal, at all. Think what you want to think. It just does not mean anything to those with self esteem, and a sense of who and what they are. Granted, these are just my opinions, and some will take offense to them. LOL.

Yes. I remember once I referred to someone as being gay. They were very offended. I am not gay. I am non-binary. OK. How would I know that, and how can you be offended, due to me not knowing that? How is that my issue, on any level? I told him, her, who knows, to grow some thicker skin. I am a very open minded person. I have alot of gay friends, and they are all comfortable being called gay. 

There is no question that the woke thing is out of control in the US, in Canada, in Europe and in some other places. Moderate, sensible people are being forced to use terms, and accept the ideologies of far fewer than 1% of the population.

Here, I have not experienced any of that, thankfully. Live and let live. I have no issue with anyone doing what makes them comfortable, or happy. Just do not force me to speak how you want me to speak, and use all of your special terminology. I am not a PC person.

Great minds comes with weakness to, and he for sure have his demons to. 

 

Check out what he have been through for his beliefs and opinions as well well documented statistically researches when it comes to human relations, politics, belief systems and social behaviors and the psychology involved.

 

He also had physically health challenges as well mentally severe depression since he was 13 and also abuse of benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome.

 

He is one of the big thinkers who dare to say what he believe is right, and also have some science backed with his views. 

 

How he see religion, is not that controversial either and more pragmatic in my opinion. 

 

Have to remember Peterson also a person who gets older, with everything that involves. I sure many here have noticed a change emmotionally the older you get.

 

Some is more angry, some more easily emmotionally touched, and some both.
