The slime that keeps on giving

Donald Trump has said that American autoworkers will be "toast" unless the United Auto Workers (UAW) union, which announced an expansion of its ongoing strike on Friday, endorses him ahead of next year's presidential election.

Must get pretty desperate, hope they give him a cheat sheet where he can look at to be reminded what they are striking for.

When he was talking in the meeting with Zelenski he didn't even try to hide that he was reading directly off the speech he was holding.

I'd say his going to meet the strikers is because he's afraid they might vote for Trump.

I don't believe he cares about actual workers given one of the first things he did as POTUS was to cancel the XL pipeline with the loss of every worker's job ( and it's not as though he's ever done any real work himself since he went into politics a very long time ago ).

Agree.  I doubt these people using the word "woke" even know what it means.  It's kind of idiotic to throw around words and phrases that they don't even understand.  But I get it, it's a MAGA thing.

Far more jobs, both temporary and permanent, are being created by Biden's infrastructure bill than would have been created by building the XL pipeline.

For a crowd that use MAGA as an insult to the right, they can hardly complain when they are accused of being woke.

While there may not be a defined meaning, it's pretty obvious it's used in the same way as MAGA.

Much in the way "gay" got hijacked by homosexuals to mean something it actually had no relevance to.

You neglect that the Republicans have split themselves between the more normal right and the maga crowd

He's not even hiding being fascist

They are almost all dishonest and corrupt, but Comcast, with its one-side and vicious coverage by NBC NEWS, and in particular MSNBC, often and correctly referred to as MSDNC (Democrat National Committee!), should be investigated for its ‘Country Threatening Treason,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Sunday.

Perhaps the most importing rule for a successful dictator is to control the press, either through intimidation, regulation, or having allies buy every news outlet in the country (what has been done in Russia and Hungary).  Trump's trying for intimidation, but will happily use regulation if given the chance.

Wikipedia is a particularly strong source since it offers footnotes. But, apparently, there are lots of folks out there who don't understand what footnotes are or how they work.

How's this for a definitive news source?  Western Journal, about as fair and balanced as WaPo:

Ex-Wikipedia Co-Founder Says Site Hijacked by US Intelligence for 'Info Warfare'

By the time of the Trump administration, Wikipedia’s perceived bias had intensified, and Sanger claimed that “no encyclopedia to my knowledge has been as biased as Wikipedia has been.”
