Trump Eyes Wave of New Trade Deals Amid 90-Day Tariff Pause
The US imposed tariffs on imports before this latest initiative so the implication that it is simply levelling the playing field is incorrect. Economic growth has costs and some environmentalists might agree with you that a reduction in consumption " .. is not a bad thing". However, the overwhelming majority of economists, politicians and consumers would not. -

Musician Falls to Death in Wang Thonglang District
Picture from responders. A 34-year-old musician has died after falling from a building in Bangkok’s Wang Thonglang district early morning of 17 Aptil. At approximately 06:30 Pol. Col. Pornthawee Somwong, superintendent of Chokchai Police Station, along with Pol. Lt. Col. Phonkrit Thippayatsanan, deputy superintendent, dispatched a police patrol to investigate the incident. The body of the man, later identified as Mr. Jatupol, was discovered lying in a pool of blood on the mezzanine level of the third floor of a building in the area. A security guard, Mr. Serm, was the first to report the incident. Initial investigations revealed that the deceased was a professional musician. Friends of Mr. Jatupol told police that he had previously spoken about suicidal thoughts. A search of his apartment revealed a quantity of illegal drugs as well as prescription medication for depression. Authorities suspect that the incident may be linked to mental health issues. Despite his surname’s similarity to that of a prominent individual, police confirmed that Mr. Jatupol had no familial connection to any high-ranking police or military officers. Police have coordinated with forensic experts and a medical examiner to determine the official cause of death. Investigations are ongoing. If you or anyone you know is in emotional distress, please contact the Samaritans of Thailand 24-hour hotline: 02 713 6791 (English), 02 713 6793 (Thai) or the Thai Mental Health Hotline at 1323 (Thai). Please also contact your friends or relatives at this time if you have feelings of loneliness, stress or depression. Seek out help. -- 2025-04-17
