The UK and the US responded with a strategic bombing capsign with the end of destroying the Nazis. Many Germans were killed by this bombing. Launch is from a different spot, ranges vary. These are spread all over Gaza. As one Israeli officer commented they'll still be finding them 10 years form now. I think the reason that there are less launches from north Gaza is IDF presence - think there's a way to neutralize it in short range.
