Featured Replies

On buying in Thailnd, only put in what you can afford to loose.

Even renting sometimes leads to unpleasant hassles.

  • OP was recently infecting a pattaya centric forum.  Made about +100 posts in 3 months. All of them click bait nonsense, like he does here.   After being mercilessly mocked, he gave up.

If you spent a few minutes on this form it should be easy to find a couple of threads about the same question. The answer is always the same: NO!

  • So did you take you shirt off too and have a beer with him?

OP might find this thread useful about someone who visited Nirun condo for 10 minutes. He saw people drinking at 10am though not 9am like this OP and nobody called him a "Bunny Wabbit"

Oh wait, it's the same OP!

Worth noting in last Nirun thread he said "Terrible place and I won't buy there"

So what? That's probably correct.
My guess is he is considering Nirun because that's what he can afford, not because it's ideal.

Ditto for the US. ...etc etc

Yes, those are the nightmare scenarios one gets into in the UK too, especially London. Potentially a year or more without rent, yet responsible for utilities, mortgage, rates and legal fees..etc etc.....Many sad cases where someone inherits the family home they grew up in, and then see it wrecked without any income and plenty of expenses. World has gone mad!

That advice seems to contradict the comments of a pal who used to rent out in the UK and has relocated here. The law made renting in the UK a daunting prospect with the way councils prevent one evicting... or at least make it a long drawn out process..... not so here.

One of the problems in Scotland and soon to be England is your agreement with tenant has no contract period
