just look up thailand war on drugs  the icc has a good case against him for war crimes  there were more than 1500 people he was responsible for killing  he is a bad guy

According to official Thai government figures a total of 2,274 people died nationwide during the nationwide crackdown.

I was only referring to a post about the Tak Bai incident. The poster said 1500 people were massacred, and most were Thaksin's enemies - not correct.

1500people were not massacred  1500 gathered at the police station   78 died after being transported   i was talking about Thaskin war on Drugs Not Tak Bai incident

Yet, for all the years he was in "exile", roaming the world virtually unrestricted, the ICC never thought or moved to bring a case against him. Strange that!

Will that be before or after they show up at Prawit's place to look at his wristwatches, or pop around to Prayut's gaffe to check out his bank books, or arrange a chat with Suthep to inquire about all the bin liners full of "cash donations" given by the grateful retailers of Bangkok as he was marching around...

 

That last one was the original "silent collection" wasn't it - no coins, notes only please.

Lawyers have suggested that Thaksin's drug war might amount to a crime against humanity under Article Seven of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court [ICC], set up in 1992.

It is up to ICC if they want to arrest, but because Thailand has not ratified the Rome agreement its very doubtful,  but does not alter the fact that Thaskin is a war criminal responsible for some 2800 deaths,

When the Independent Committee on the Casualties of the 2003 War on Drugs established by the Surayud Chulanont government published its report in 2008, it concluded that 1,372 of the people killed had no drug related records.
More importantly,the chair of the commission concluded that all 2,873 killings should be considered crimes against humanity

Since the day the report was published, not a single case has been pursued.

The culture of impunity is Thailands  national shame. Thaksin's "war on drugs" was broadly welcomed by many Thais

Dont think they have been branded as war criminals  but they should for there appalling record of  human rights violation  but that is up to the Thai people
