Looking good ...

... yes, eating anything is murder, unless it was already dead.  Any of you vegans/vegetarians out there foraging for dead plant life ?

how many supplements do you need to take to sustain your health on this fake food ?

Good thing our ancestors survived the last "ice age"  .. by stocking up on all those bags of frozen/microwaveable broccoli spears and peas !

The Last Glacial Period (LGP), also known colloquially as the Last Ice Age or simply Ice Age, occurred from the end of the Eemian to the end of the Younger Dryas, encompassing the period c. 115,000 – c. 11,700 years ago.                                 Get it ?

Yeah what was the life expectancy of those ancestors?  Get it? What exactly is your point-are you trying to prove you are clueless about global warming or about beyond burger -both?  You have succeeded . Congratulations    Fake food -  wrong.

Anything is better than eating dead cows ... I prefer the various 'chicken' products.

Dead birds are better to eat than dead animals?  How's that?

When something sounds too good to be true, it probably isn’t.

Or, to make sense, "when something sounds too good to be true, it probably is" [too good to be true].

Are you?  Reality required the debunked term "global warming" to be dropped by most informed people a long time ago and replaced by "climate change"!

Plant based chicken, not real ones

Ah, ok.  So what makes a "plant based" processed product, that isn't chicken, "better" than chicken?

Debunked ? By who Rupert Murdoch.  "most informed people"  wrong.  debunked appears to be a catch phrase used by uninformed people.  See below

"Although people tend to use these terms interchangeably, global warming is just one aspect of climate change. “Global warming” refers to the rise in global temperatures due mainly to the increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. “Climate change” refers to the increasing changes in the measures of climate over a long period of time – including precipitation, temperature, and wind patterns"   Source  US Geological Survey

Most means 3%  ?

Yes, the vast majority of actively publishing climate scientists – 97 percent – agree that humans are causing global warming and climate change.  Source NASA

Pretty obvious- no dead chickens are involved

Got it, dead plants and chemicals are better than dead meat, ok, thanks!

One of the biggest reasons I don't eat beef, pork, or lamb is that I'm not willing to slaughter the animal and dress it myself, and I'm simply not going to eat an animal that I wouldn't be willing to kill on my own. I could never kill a cow or a pig.

So I get the whole non-meat thing, but the most important thing is to read the ingredients. Of course this is always a good practice with any product, but with meat substitutes and a lot of vegan foods they're absolutely loaded with toxic ingredients so always read the label. If there's too many chemicals and wild ingredients that you don't understand, just avoid it.

Well it depends on the meat, if it's grass-fed beef then it's likely fairly healthy, if it's processed meat like sausages, hot dogs, things like that, it's toxic to a horrific degree, so you have to use your judgment. Any meat product purchased in a convenience store is toxic beyond the wildest imagination.

Which toxic ingredients are permitted to be used in that food and by which authorities?

"...toxic to a horrific degree"

That claim is based on what?

I'm sure that you'll also have a rational basis for that bizarre assertion that, clearly, contains no exaggeration whatsoever!

9 minutes ago, Liverpool Lou said:

Are you kidding? I am surprised I even have to explain this.

Evidence has been accumulating over the years that processed meats cause cancer. There are three chemicals in particular that have been linked to colorectal cancer. One of these chemicals occurs naturally in meat. The others develop or are added as part of the process to produce these meats.

Heme is a pigment found mostly in red meat

Nitrates and nitrites are added to keep processed meat fresher longer

Heterocyclic amines and polycyclic amines are produced when meat is cooked at high temperatures

All of these chemicals can damage the cells in the colon and rectum. As damage accumulates over time cancer risk greatly increases.

They are cows.

"When getting your beef from a local farmer or raising it yourself, you need to know when butchering a cow (technically a bovine and usually a steer or heifer) cuts of meat that are essential to make sure you're getting the most from the animal and the cuts that will serve you and your family best."

Vegans forage for their vegan food, a little bit sad for them because it is tasteless mostly and they need to mix it with many spices and synthetic chemicals to make it look like they are eating real meat and to make it barely edible.

The plants also feel pain. this is proven when tugging on a plant, be it in the wild or in a vegetable garden, and when ones hand slips a little you hear that squeak, this is actually a plant crying out in pain.

Arrogant ignorance a hallmark of about 40% on here  consistent with Magat population in America.

Suffering fools passes the time.  OP asked where Beyond burgers could be bought  not the opinion of meat eaters on the ethics , or value of eating meat.  But fools will be fools.   "One of the strongest objections animal killers raise against vegetarianism is that vegetarians still have to kill plants, and that this is also violence. But it is nonsensical to equate fully sentient animals like cows with lowly vegetables. Certainly, plants are as alive as cows; modern experiments prove that plants have feelings, and the Bhagavad-gita, the essence of all Vedic teachings, confirms that all life forms contain spirit souls qualitatively equal to one another.

Still all killings are not the same. Going by the argument, killing the person so arguing and killing a potato should be the same but he would not agree to that. Besides most of the time the plants are not killed. At the time of harvesting, the rice or wheat stalks turn yellow and are already dead. When plucking an apple or tomato, the plant is not killed. Whatever violence exists in vegetarian diet, it is minimal because plants have been put by nature in a kind of anaesthesia. That is why chopping a potato and killing a cow creates very different scenes. Potato does not scream, writhe or tries to flee away. "

It's called nature, and at times, it's no kind.   You want to live, then you kill & eat ... period.

Shark, lion, croc eats man ... oh well.  Man eat beef, pork, poultry, fish ... oh well.  Fish eats fish, man eat fish, always something bigger.   Without weapons, humans would not be top of the food chain.
