Real Estate Sales Job

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what the going rate is for with regards to salary/commision for a Real estate sales rep ?

What and how do they get paid ?

I know of a few people that are real estate agents in BK, though none personally, except one that was, and could not afford to live on fresh air and ent back to teaching.

They work on commission only , he certainly did.

Some may pay a basic though, I can only tell you what I know

TP

basic commission is 3%. some get more, but thats the minimum that you should expect.

Was talking with one last week: The standard commission charged to the seller is 3% of the sales price, of which 1.5% goes to the sales representative, and the other 1.5% goes to the company. The rep work is on commission only (no salary).

Some companies give only 1% of the sales price to their representatives, and keep 2%.

I beleive thats what the real estate company receives from the developers , so as an employee expect it to be lower.

Sry to contradict Donna , just what i know

Nathan is correct.

3% (or whatever) fee goes to the company, and firms then pay a % of that to the staff as their commission (standard is 10%, but some pay more, some pay less), plus a salary that is limited only by what they can earn and do for the company.

Thanks guys.

My question was not what the seller paid the agent, im already aware what the developer pays the agent. Its what the agent would pay his sales rep which im trying to find out.

So putting my question forward again. Agent sells condo for 10 million. Developer pays agent 3% which is 300,000 baht, what percentage of that 300,000 baht goes to the sales rep who is employed by that agent ?

From the responses I have had thaigerd says the rep will get 3% of that 300,000 baht. Quicksilva says he gets 10% and Pete says 50% with some only 33.33%....

Could anyone elaborate on this, seems the answers are far too much on the "broad" side for me. Im a little surprised there was no responses from actual sales reps, thought there might be a few on this forum.

OK, let me try......

House price 10,000,000 THB

Company commission/ brokerage fee = 3% usually = 300,000 THB

Sales rep commission = upto 20% of this figure = 60,000 THB

My mate pays his staff a salary of 20,000 THB per month also, whilst some sales reps are commission only.

There's not a standard answer to your question, as different companies have different policies - nevertheless I sincerely hope that this helps you. :o

As Ungabunga said firms pay different amounts. Salaries are totally dependent upon what the individual can earn and personal commissions from 10-50% it all depends. (BTW numbers I have stated are general market practice and may not reflect what my firm pays).

Thanks Unga', this is closer to the figure I would have assumed myself.

Cheers
