Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah on Friday praised the Palestinian militant group Hamas for exposing what he called a weakened Israel and threatened to intervene in the war to protect Gaza from Israeli attacks.

Nasrallah delivered a major speech in Lebanon, his first since the Israel-Hamas war broke out in early October, as fighting has raged between Hezbollah and Israel on the borders. The speech played on video in the capitol of Beirut, where crowds of supporters gathered to listen.

The Hezbollah leader, appearing furious and emotional, said Gaza is suffering a humanitarian catastrophe under an Israeli siege and announced that he could “adopt any option at any time” to respond to the crisis, which he said is in the “national interest” of Lebanon. He also warned that Israeli attacks on Lebanese civilians could spark a war.

“What the Israelis do to Lebanon will also determine how we will act,” he said. “All options are on the table on the Lebanese front.”

Hezbollah and Israeli soldiers have primarily traded artillery and rocket fire in recent weeks, but the fighting has been near daily and the deadliest in years. Nasrallah’s threats of escalation come after Israel has encircled Gaza City, the Hamas stronghold, and is now fighting in the urban area.

Someone needs to reel in Israel! They can't continue this senseless carnage!

Good news for you then. The Hezbollah want to reel in Israel by expanding the war and upping the carnage. Oh yeah, that is a sure winnner.

Strange how you never mention Hamas stopping bombing Israel though, why is that.

Ah the insults have started to arrive.

You failed to mention the points I brought up so I'll refresh your memory, does Israel forget about the hostages and I repeat Hamas has stated it will carry on with these murderous incursions, does that not mean anything to you.

That's a rather misleading headline.

The key elements of the actual speech were that Hamas is on it's own - it was said that this is a 100% Palestinian matter not a regional one. Similarly, a great emphasis was placed on claiming Iran and Hezbollah had no previous concerning the attack, had no part in its planning, and did not know its about to happen.

Similarly, there was some hot air inflating Hezbollah's current level of involvement and losses taken (in effect, many casualties suffered being Hamas men in Lebanon).

The speech was more a delivery of messages to Hamas and Israel - along the lines of Hezbollah not going to dive right in, but keep current level of involvement, maybe take it up a notch or two. So long as current Israeli response in Lebanon stays the same - this will be upheld.

The bearded turban said and quoted "Martyr" 50 times in the first 5 mins of this rambling I think he will be saying it a lot more hopefully. He also quoted brothers and sisters although there was not a single sister present 🤔

You can debate till the cows come in, Wobbly, makes no difference to the situation, beyond your's or my control!

But answering a simple question is critical to any debate. Like, does Israel forget about the hostages, would releasing the hostages ease the tensions in the Middle East, does Israel ignore the threats of Hamas to continuing to callously keep on murdering their citizens. Israel has a huge responsibility to protect its citizens.

Do you need a reminder of the 'senseless killing' of children and old people, 1,400 of them to be precise, back on 7th of October

and who started this mess? do you? or you're just too blind and deaf to understand the truth?

Hamas has threaten to repeat the carnage of 7th of October over and over again, and as such they have to be wiped out of the face of the earth once and for all, they bring more misery and destruction on their own people than onto Israel...

3,760 dead children in Gaza, and that's 2 days ago! Is that enough revenge for you, or do you need more?

Nothing to back those figures in anyway shape of form, for all we know this is Hamas /Iran and others propaganda and misinformation so the world feel sorry for the Palestinians..

Hassan Nasrallah knows better than to bring the might of the IDF and it's resolves to get rid of all terror groups and that includes the Hezbollah, Israel now is in a survival war where all options are open on the table if needs be..

The Israeli's are murdering at a rate of 6 to 1!

They are not murdering 6 to 1, they may be killing at 6 to 1..... I have very little sympathy with the civilians in Gaza.  They are responsible for enabling Hamas to be the government of Gaza. If you play with fire etc etc
