Popular Post Social Media Posted November 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2023 Donald Trump repeatedly clashed with a judge and defended his family's business as he testified in a civil fraud trial in New York. During almost four hours on the witness stand, the former president disputed claims that he deceived banks and aired broad grievances with the case. The judge has already ruled the Trump Organization committed fraud and this trial will determine the penalties. Prosecutors are seeking a $250m (£202m) fine and severe business restrictions. During his highly anticipated appearance at the Manhattan federal courthouse on Monday, Mr Trump, 77, was asked about the value of various properties including his Florida estate Mar-a-Lago, Trump Tower in New York and his golf course in Scotland. These properties are among several that prosecutors say were intentionally overvalued in company statements in order to secure better loans and insurance policies. In his testimony, Mr Trump, who is the current frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, stood by the valuations as prosecutors quizzed him on how they were reached and the financial statements at the centre of the trial. "I'm worth billions of dollars more than the financial statements," Mr Trump said, before describing the valuations as "very conservative." He said the property values were bolstered by his personal brand, something he said was never factored into financial statements. "I can look at buildings and tell you what they're worth," he said in another testy exchange. Backed into a legal corner, Trump comes out swinging The glitzy New York buildings that Trump could lose Four surprises that could upend the 2024 US election The lawsuit was brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, who accuses Mr Trump, along with his sons Eric and Donald Jr and other Trump Organization executives, of deliberately inflating company assets for years. Eric did better on the stand. Not only will Trump’s mouth cost him dearly, he’s putting Ivanka in a corner when she takes the stand. There are only so many times she can whisper squeakily ‘I don’t recall’ and since she’s immune from prosecution she can’t cite the 5th. Does she give Daddy up or does she run the gauntlet on contempt of court? And once again a reminder: $250,000,000 is the starting price. 1 1 1

He lost one point in the summary judgment, but there are other points under legal consideration. These will add up to form the basis of the amounts that Trump will lose. 4 1 1

Popular Post Danderman123 Posted November 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2023 Concerning Trump fraud: Back in the day, in lovely Baja California, the Trump Organization advertised a condo development for sale to gullible types. So, people pre-paid for condos, Trump took the money and ran and abandoned the project. Typical Trump. 1 3 1
Popular Post Danderman123 Posted November 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2023 One of the oddities of this board is that there is an extended time lag between a Trump event happening, then FOX News coming up with talking points, and then Trump fans seeing the talking points the next morning. So, the Trump fans are clearly trying to digest the bullsh*t that FOX produces to explain Trump's ranting in court yesterday. It's a big time saver for me, as I don't have to watch FOX - some Trump fans very accurately regurgitate the FOX talking points. On the other hand, its kind of creepy, a huge block of people who follow propaganda Soviet-style, and who have few original thoughts on these issues. 4 3 3 3

The word came in response to a question about who in the Trump Organization was responsible for preventing and detecting fraud. “Everybody,” Trump said. https://news.yahoo.com/lawrence-o-donnell-reveals-1-071044456.html 1 3

Other than his potential to be POTUS or not, the rest of Trump's life is of zero concern to me. If he did or did not commit asset valuation fraud is something for Americans to talk about, not myself. Frankly I really don't care what he does in his business life. 1 1

I did say 'possibly you are getting your President Roosevelts mixed up' and this was based on evidence of Theodore Roosevelt being bipolar and my failure to find any to support your claim. Theodore & the Roosevelt Bipolar Inheritance - International Bipolar Foundation (ibpf.org) Perhaps you can humour me and provide your evidence that Franklin Roosevelt was 'mentally crippled'? As you know that on this forum facts need to be supported with evidence And yes, I did say 'facts don't seem to be your friend' which was evident based on your previous posts and lack of evidence on this post. 2 1
