A tragic car accident claimed the lives of two teachers and injured 12 others on their way to work in Sri Mahapho district, Prachinburi province. The teachers, identified as Thitthai Kaewsri and Srathha Muangdee, were en route to their school when their car collided with a bus carrying factory workers.

At about 6.30am, local police were alerted to the accident at an intersection in Wang Koo, Nong Bua village. The bus, transporting workers within the 304 Industrial Zone, and the Toyota car, with registration number กพ 6938 Nonthaburi, were found at the scene. Twelve passengers on the bus sustained injuries and were treated at Chulalat 4 Hospital and Sri Mahapho Hospital.

The bus driver, 47 year old Pichit Montrinok, reported seeing the car swerve into his lane. Despite sounding his horn and flashing his headlights, the car did not change course. Attempting to avoid a collision, Pichit accelerated and braked, but it was too late. The impact caused the bus to overturn and fall into a nearby field, while the car was severely damaged on the side of the road.
