A rescue worker has come under criticism for demonstrating power and being unprofessional by stepping on and kicking a junior firefighter while responding to a fire.

The incident was brought to light when a Twitter user named Red Skull posted a video of the event online. The behaviour, deemed inappropriate, especially in front of locals, sparked widespread online criticism.

“So arrogant. Stepping and kicking a junior in front of a fire. Don’t know if it’s not satisfying or what, but you should talk after finishing the job, not show off in front of the villagers.”

The post garnered a lot of attention, with many netizens expressing their disapproval and some even sharing the personal Facebook account of the firefighter. The incident has highlighted the need for professionalism in the line of duty, even in high-stakes situations like firefighting, reported KhaoSod.

The incident, which took place in the Siam Buri district of Nang Rong, sheds light on an underlying issue of power dynamics within firefighter rescue teams.

No context given at all in the article. A possible interpretation from viewing the video is that two lazy-arses were told in no uncertain terms to assist in the task at hand.

Standard practice back in the day to cuff the younger lazy employees across the back of the head for laziness and/or stupidity. The world made sense back then though.:coffee1:

Brain damaged I maybe. Woke I ain't.

He should have received instant dismissal and been charged with assault. However I presume he has connections in high places and probably bought his status within the service. Those young men are likely to risk their lives in the future and may have done so already in the past, there is no defence whatsoever for his behaviour.
