Windows 10 Pro

Did anybody bought a Windows 10 Pro license and/or software from Lazada, if so, kindly provided feed back as I run into some trouble with the kid's Laptop, re-installing/setup windows 10 somehow it automatically default to Windows 10 Home Single language, need PRO version.

Visited Lazada and found some shop offering full version of 10 Pro for around 450 Baht but the problem is they provide the software on CD, the LAPTOP is an Acer and like the majority of the newest laptops doesn't have a CD bay, any advise will be welcome

I have recently purchased W10, W11 Pro and W11 Enterprise from Lazada without issue.

Most sellers send the activation key only through Lazada messaging, this is all you need to upgrade from home to pro or make a fresh install via USB. Download any version you need from Microsoft using the media creation tool.

Presumably if you had Pro before you do not have a record of the original key?

I did retrieve the key from the pro version but the problem is that I don't have pro installed, however I do have the key, maybe will try to use Microsoft site install 10 pro without activation and activate later with old key hoping it will work, thanks for the feed back

If you go into settings and  then activation and change product key and input tje Pro key you have it should  automatically upgrade.

I did that 3 times and still shows home version and even try a win 11 key and it told me not acceptable. Will try the microsoft upgrade to 10 pro and no activation, will (try) activate later with the original 10 pro key, I think it would be the best option

You don’t need the media, only the product key. You can download the latest media directly from Microsoft.

As JaiMaai has suggested, you usually need to use the generic key to upgrade firstly, then to activate with the Pro key.

This is also what will show in a machine that automatically activates with a digital licence on a fresh install.  Is this the same as the key you retrieved?

no I actually retrieved/have my original key, will try the upgrade both ways as it appears if going into the (Settings/system/activation) the screen  has the option to change key and by doing so (per my neighbor) it should allow you to upgrade but I didn't try that yet, thanks to your feed back now I have 2 options, will let you know how it worked out, thks

have been trying different options without any success, the key I have didn't work, the key you provided didn't work , can't download the damn upgrade. The current Digital license on the Acer is a Win 10 Home Single Language installed from the store, the SSD internal HD is a Samsung 970 EVO 1 TB that is partioned, I don't like partitions (that's me no partitions) at this time I would like just delete reformat everything and start a clean install but how do I delete the partitions (Already back up everything) just want to format the 1 TB SSD

Download an iSO version from Microsoft (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO)
Burn the ISO image to a USB drive (https://www.howtogeek.com/787937/how-to-make-a-bootable-windows-10-usb-drive/)
Install Win10 from the bootable USB drive
Enter Win10 License number when prompted.  (You'll now find out if the license key is good or not).

Bob's your uncle.

Next step to try is a fresh install from a USB.

You need to add a file to the sources directory on the USB called ei.cfg

Create it as a text file in notepad.  It should contain the following text:

[EditionID]
Professional
[Channel]
Retail

This should allow you to select Windows 10 Pro at installation.

Continue to have problems with license key?

Download Linux ISO
Burn Linux ISO to a bootable USB.
Install Linux.
Never look back.

No. There are other steps that need to be taken. I’ll insert them in a bit.

Do this firstly using Command Prompt: https://getproductkey.net/how-to-upgrade-windows-10-home-to-pro-for-free/

Hit the Enter key after each line

That will tell you if you can upgrade your current edition and if so, allow you to upgrade.
