Anti Newbie Bias

Featured Replies

I like newbies. Us oldies rarely have anything new to add, or have become cynical. They add new energy to the place.

For Buddha's sake, it's just an internet thing. If you want to be taken seriously write to your local member of parliament.

Just something to fill in the time.

Donz was fab, always good for a laugh, so was the Dude, there were a few others, but I can't remember names!

As for 'newbies', yeah, let them inject something new to shake up us 'oldies'.

Regarding post counts (and joining dates), the only reason I take any note of them would be to discount them as a troll, if, perchance, they made 'trollish' type of post.

Now there's a complete waste of bluddy time if there ever was one, you are better of writing to the moon.

Newbies can be irritating little oiks but we were all new once, maybe not oiks, but certainly new (to ThaiVisa that is).

I agree with Bendix. He was never a noodle newbie. Neither was I.

Newbies are OK Lanny, except when they whine.

I beg to differ Phil, I've written to mine twice with excellent results both times, once receiving a substantial refund on some motor vehicle registration that the relevant government department refused to even discuss with me. Of course if your writing about their overseas trips or demanding world peace well then of course your sights are a little high.

Guess its a good thing i dont rate peoples opinion of me on a forum board then.

You still are, unless you somehow re-joined under a different name after being banned or something??

Jettie,

You may not have been a noodle newbie, but you were a real good cheer chick. All nice, cheerful threads. I think the tresses were restrained at that time. And you didn't have your Jimmy Choo stilettos. Or your clutch bag with the brick in it... :D:o

Having said that, I used to be nice... :D:D

Ah sure you still are girl !

PS

I was in HH (for about 30 mins) t'other day.

It's a busy little town !

:D

It's low season, FS. It's dead, here! Just passing through, were you?

Ranong > Bangkok and a guy from Yorkshire gave me a lift to HH.

Yes I was just waiting for the next bus.

I asked him (he lives there , has a bar etc) if it was a "tourist town" and he said no , it was mostly people living there.

Seemed busy enough to me.

A lot of old farts being guided across the road by their lovely young wives/gildfriends.

If I didn't have other plans I'd move there meself.

:o

Next time you're there (for longer than half an hour) give me a call & we'll have lunch/a drink/whatever. Hey, by that time bendix might be living here, we could make it a threesome!! :D:o

Please forgive me (alright don't I understand) but I do have an evil mind and this post has made my day even though the laughter has thrown me into a coughing fit I might not survive.
