Thai AirAsia introduces direct flights to Shanghai

Thai AirAsia (FD) has officially announced its grand plan to kick off direct flights from Don Mueang Airport (DMK) to Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG).

Scheduled for takeoff on February 2 next year, this airborne escapade is set to redefine your travel experience with five flights per week, courtesy of top-of-the-line Airbus A320 aircraft.

 

Thai AirAsia X (XJ) might be familiar with Shanghai, but this fresh venture from DMK that promises to amp up options for jet-setters. On this route, Flight FD470 will take off every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 9.25pm, landing in Shanghai at 2.25am the following day.

For the return journey, Thai AirAsia will be operating Flight FD471 every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, departing Shanghai at 3.45am and touching down at Don Mueang at 7.20am, reported Travel News Asia.

Thai AirAsia, the 2 bits airline with no call center, contact phone number or email address in case you want to talk to someone,

only a bot named Bob, who selectively chooses to not understand or ignore your questions, last year they have cancelled

my return flight from Melbourne without a notice simply because they stopped flying there,

i was given "credit points" o use but with many conditions, all my efforts to contact them were in vain,

I wouldn't fly with them again even if the pay me...

I noticed they make it almost impossible to contact them if you have a problem or issue,  even a complaint is done via a form.   The world really has gone down hill,  even the banks have moved that way ...  they don't want to talk to any customer,  they want the computer to answer every typical question that comes in,   the problem with bot system is if your question is asked in a slightly different way it won't recognize it ... so you go around & around.

There are already plenty of direct flights from China including Shanghai, I doubt the "yuan" will choose to fly on a Thai carrier especially one of bad customer service like AirAsia. In fact, some chinese airline flights are being scrapped due to low occupancy. I think the TH AirAsia move is more aimed at the Thais looking to visit China, perhaps in the hope of a visa-free policy.
