Also the “approval” letter asks Moderna to conduct a new randomized controlled trial in adults 50 to 64 to determine if they still benefit from COVID vaccination. As pre-marketing studies Moderna has to continue to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the product before its launch in 2032. So the new FDA commissioner is not anti-science but another seven years of tests and data seem more appropriate. -
