On January 18, 2024, news broke in Nakhon Phanom province, turning the area into a hub of excitement once again. Social media shared the revelation that a lottery vendor, operating her business at the sacred site of Landmark SakSri, situated within the municipality of Nakhon Phanom, had won the first prize in the draw held on January 17, 2024.

 

The fortunate winner is Mrs. Aonchan Surinyont, also known as Aunt Uan, a 63-year-old resident of Kamtay village, Tambon Kamtay, Amphoe Mueang, Nakhon Phanom, reported Siam Rath.

 

Aunt Uan has been engaged in the lottery business, supporting her livelihood for over a decade. However, her luck took a positive turn this time as she clinched the first prize with the ticket number 105979, winning a substantial 6 million Baht.

In an interview, Mrs. Aonchan Surinyont shared her life story, revealing that she and her family have been selling lottery tickets for more than 10 years.

 

Despite facing financial challenges in recent years, including falling victim to a scam and accumulating a debt of 3 million Baht, Aunt Uan persevered. She expressed joy and shock upon discovering her lottery win, stating that the prize money would be used to pay off debts, make merit, and contribute to family expenses.

...in these times, it may not be a good idea to show off your wealth, especially if it's sudden.

Think about it this way. What wealth? 3 million in debt will take half away. 3 mill left. Make merit, will be another 250 000 for sure. Contributing to family expenses, surely will be another million. So, left we stand with 1,75 mill. Not too wealthy after all. :cheesy:
