Here is the assessment of the effect of both tax cuts and cuts to federal programs such as Medicaid and food stamps, by the Penn Wharton budget model. "The bottom 20% of households, who earn up to about $17,000 annually, would see their after-tax incomes drop by $1,035 in 2026, including a reduction in government benefits, the nonpartisan group found. The top 0.1%, who earn at least $4.3 million per year, would get an annual after-tax boost of about $389,000, Penn Wharton said." And the reply from the WH! Annual checkup at Bangkok Christian Hospital: Anyone with (recent) experience?
Hi, It is the time of year again where my annual health checkup is due. Over the last 8 years or so, I've usually done them at BNH and once at Samitivej. But their recommended packages for my age group have gone up and up and up and are now in the 30-35k range, which is too much for me these days. As a result, I started looking at alternatives and was positively surprised by the Platinum package offered by Bangkok Christian. At TBH 11,990 it includes most of the tests the much more expensive packages at BNH and others include. I have never been to BCH, so I wondered if a member here has some first hand experience, especially with doing one of the health checkup packages. I don't necessarily need the -admittedly nice- "hand-holding" by the nurses like at BNH who always take you from one test/department to the next etc, but I would hate it if the organization at Bangkok Christian would be overly chaotic. Anyone with recent experience at BCH who can provide some feedback on this? Thank you! DUS -

What exactly is a Thai pink ID card?
The advantages are obviously for those people not working here with work permits. For those that live here without working, it offers a lifetime of ease whenever some desk clerk or officer says a Certificate of Residence is needed. This seems to upset some people. I'm not sure why. -

He's not clueless about it - I called him out of the first page of this thread... so he had to 'play along a little more'... Par of for the course with some such posters is to 'attempt to create' conflict... post mildly contradictory information to trigger a debate - the Yellow Book discussion has surfaced multiple times per year, for years. He's asking 'what exactly a pink ID card is' he knows exactly what it is. -
