Which of them have a degree in economics? Probably none.

Most have degrees in pol science and history I believe. Presidents aren't economists. Some of them listen to economists.

If a historian can't read the statistics on the border chaos which is the worst ever then their opinions are not worth anything. Historians usually don't study economics either. A History degree and an Economics degree are two separate things.

I will give you this. Trump supporters miss no opportunity to display their ignorance!!

Historians study history.   History is everything that happened in the past.

exactly what is it that think, historians do?

Did you know that there are historians who specialize in a historical period, or a particular  subject.

economics of a particular period being one of many?.

Do you know that there are Presidential historians who as the name implies specialise in the study of......???

I can't give you much credit given your answer is so poorly written. Study history? What does that mean in context? Reading newspaper articles? Reading what? What are they studying?

Most historians know nothing about economics and are left leaning.

Hardly a ringing endorsement, and definitely premature.  From your link:

"The Wall Street Journal asked 68 business, financial and academic economists who was responsible for the strengthening of the economy, and most “suggested Mr. Trump’s election deserves at least some credit” for the upturn. "

This was an opinion piece from Jan 14, 2018, less than a full year before Trump took office and before the consequences of his tax cuts, tariffs, covid mismanagement, etc. made there downsides known.

Hey Bruce  he doesn't read the articles.  He just comments on them.    if anyone cares to read the article it's a complete biased hit piece    long on personal attacks  and short on statistics  .Here is the author  Liz Peek is a former partner of major bracket Wall Street firm Wertheim & Company. For 15 years, she has been a columnist for The Fiscal Times, Fox News, the New York Sun and numerous other organizations.

That was a wall street journal survey of professional economic forecasters.  Those kind of economists work for private businesses. Not exactly an impartial bunch. And those economists predicted a long term boost to GDP for several years from the tax cuts. That never happened. GDP rose 2.2% in 2017, 2.9% in 2018 and 2.3% in 2019.

And as one economist remarkked:

“We have to be cautious about giving Trump too much credit for the economy’s strength,” said Bernard Baumohl of the Economic Outlook Group. “Job creation and business capital spending were on the rise prior to his presidency. The jury is still out how much more his actions moved the economy forward.”

I think it is time to stop feeding this TROLL and stop responding to it.

If it gets no responses it will hopefully go the same way as his previous avatar(s)

So he did a steady job not a bad job. Didn't start any wars, secured the borders, wages rose and the cost of living was under control.

So he wasn't bad at all.

So they study wages, inflation and the stock market? Yes or no?

Did they study illegal immigration? Yes or no?

You claim they study "everything" yet can't name the things they studied.

Sorry to tell you this but nobody studies everything.

Being a Biden troll must be a land of make believe. Historians are studying everything. That's just hilarious.

Dude you criticized my writing skills with a poorly constructed sentence  .

You said "   I can't you much credit given "

If you are going to criticize someone's writing, have the intelligence to at least proofs your own copy.

and then just google what it is that historian do.

And please, please, don't go playing  grab ass, and then go crying when someone grabs your ass.
