It's give those rights legal preference over the rights enumerated in the Constitution and various amendments that's the problem. The fathers of the Constitution saw how religion was abused in Europe by governments and the misery that ensued from that abuse. They understood that no humans can prove that they know which rights come from God and which ones don't. For this reason, there is no mention of God in the body of the Constitution. Not one mention. So, when there appears to be a violation, that's an error and should be decided on the basis of those alleged Judeo-principles. Of course, these same Christian nationalists claim to have a definitive and incontrovertible understanding of what those principles are. According to them, anyone who disagrees with them is in error. The founding fathers would be horrified by such claims. Just recently we saw where this kind of lunacy can lead to in the opinion of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama. Second, outside of the Red states that are a lock for Trump, there aren't a lot of evangelical voters. So, Evangelical voters aren't going to win the election for Trump.
