webfact Posted February 22 Share Posted February 22 Chonburi — The Chonburi Immigration Bureau apprehended a South Korean fugitive wanted by Interpol for leading a call center fraud syndicate on February 21st, 2024. Acting on intelligence received from foreign authorities in early February, immigration officers apprehended Mr. Oh Suk Yeon, a 51-year-old South Korean national, in Pattaya. Mr. Oh was the subject of an Interpol warrant for his alleged involvement in a call center gang that targeted victims in South Korea. The syndicate, based in China, employed various tactics to deceive individuals into transferring money, resulting in losses exceeding 200 million won in just two weeks, according to the Chonburi Immigration.
