If one is in my predicament, then I would suggest buying the SAME model of Samsung that I purchased, and have been satisfied with, for several months.

The 16 Kg capacity is fine, but I would not go lower, but only up, up, and away.

 

I think they offer an 18KG model, and I should have chosen that one, because larger capacity is always better for me.

But, I was afraid it might turn out to be overkill.

 

So, just buy the one I purchased, but make sure you do not need separate hot hose for water.

The machine has no pump to expel water, but I can do without that.

 

Inverter motor driving a beltles tub.

Very quiet.

 

So, I just need the basic stuff, with not much more.

 

I like Top loading, because I believe they might require less maintenance.

 

It is only a very basic low cost washing machine that washes clothes, and not much more.

 

Always listen to the Rolling Stones when you want to feel happy, or when in the mood to wash.

The band just gets better with age, and the band has produced a TON of music.

I don't understand. You aren't answering my question. You talk about various capacities, pumps, hoses, motors and belts. I don't need all that. Which is the best machine to buy???

And, children finally realize that there is no best.

There is only better for any given application.

If you were to use rain water from the roof, then you might need a pump with the machine that I purchased, because it requires water pressure above that which you might expect...

Unless your roof were on the 6th floor, and you were in the basement.

 

Then, you would have plenty of water pressure to operate this machine, and also a shower.

You would have super good pressure, in fact.

 

But I use a water pump made by Mitsubishi, and I am sorry I bought this model because, while the Samsung washing machine is super quiet...

The Misubishi noise is an outrage.

 

So, please be forewarned.

Just to double confirm, not necessarily for me but more in the abstract sense of machine user compatibility across varying domestic water architectures, would you say your Samsung is the most optimal choice when considering both drum visibility and emotional resonance with prewash cycles?

 

Because I know you said 16kg was ideal for your needs, but then there was a mention of 18kg possibly being better in hindsight, which raises the question: is the limitation on capacity more of a personal laundry density preference, or would it also apply to someone using slightly thicker cottons or perhaps living at a different elevation?

a. I had been a bit hard on the Samsung products that I had used in the past, in the local market, just because I was using Samsung products which might not have been properly maintained by guest house, etc..

b. BUT, now, I have revised my opinion of Samsung consumer products, such as this washing machine, and my Samsung refrigerator.

c. After many months use of the refrigerator, I would recommend this fridge to my best friend....because....FOR THE MONEY, I think it is a great deal.

d. Same goes for the washing machine that I purchased. I very much LOVE it, to pieces, about now.

 

e.  So, I will say, once again, that I am HAP, HAP, HAPPY with the Samsung products that I have purchased.  And, this includes my phone, too.

 

I think that, for the low cost, it might be very difficult for me to find better products.
