I keep seeing this time and time again,

both here and on social media.

 

I would like to ask those that believe this,

do you also have the same attitude about your home country?

is it your country your rules as well?

also, when foreigners misbehave or slightly transgress in your country, do you think that a trial by social media and a revocation of their visa is an appropriate response?

I personally believe the world belongs to all of us and nation states are a figment of humans imaginations, but hey ho…

 

Did any brits see the video at the london train station with the chinese guy shouting and balling at the piano guy recently, just for filming in public?

did you feel any degree of anger towards that? should the chinese guy have his visa revoked because the video got millions of hits on YT?

 

We all know that there are millions of migrants living in western countries and they transgress the law just as the natives do, yet we have due process and do the right thing by putting them through the legal system and trying them in a court of law! Will Mr. Swiss be afforded the same luxury here?? I kinda doubt it.

 

all of us should be very, very alarmed at what is currently going on with Mr. Swiss.

 

The precedent this sets for all farangs staying here long term is rather worrying to say the least.

If he really kick her then I agree but I think it’s normal to give people some time to leave. Especially if someone have life here long time. 
 

if it was just screaming in my opinion it’s over reacting to revoke his visa . But that’s the downside here maybe. But it’s little bit a lottery . I have read news articles about foreigners who did really crazy things and just got a fine. 
 

you know in touristic areas there is a lot of alcohol and you can always end up in some situation you didn’t expect.

When you go to Laos and you fill in the temp visa application and hand over your fee there's a box at the bottom with the words "Our country, our taxes." This is obviously in response to people complaining.

if the doctor is claiming he assaulted her then he should be tried in a court of law and all of the evidence examined to discern what actually happened.

 

but as of yet he hasn’t had his day in court. His visa has been revoked on the back of public outcry and a video that was posted online.

Everyone’s different and so it goes with countries as well. I think what’s happened to the Swiss guy in Phuket is a bit over the top – not to make any excuse for his behaviour – and the Swiss guy in Trang deserves all he gets, but it’s not like he is a victim here. We all know the score here and, as guests, can’t really complain when things like this happen. As people say, if you don’t like it ……

Besides, how many of us westerners would like to see our respective nations’ authorities to be a bit more hardline wih foreigners who misbehave.

Would help if there was a consistency to the rules.. That at least would be fair.. 

Eg a Thai on farang beating, multiple assailants, real harm and injury... 500b and a smirking wai.. 

Farang on Thai shout and a little tap of a kick.. Deportation, loss of millions in assets now needing to be sold, involvement of the national police chief, deputy PM, even addressed by the PM himself..

I wish my homecountry did the same, and also was a bit more like Thailand in many ways protecting what is theirs, and do now give away free at the border.

Not everything is black and white, and Im sure most Americans regret all tech and production as services is sold out to very competitive countries.

You could not have paired a more taboo set of things in Thailand except maybe adding in a monk instead of a doctor.

You are still too naive to understand why it's so difficult to get permanent residency and citizenship in Thailand, unlike in the USA, for example. Thailand wants to keep foreigners under control with their 90-day reporting, TM30 update, and numerous other documents and will only give extensions year-to-year so that they can kick a foreigner out for unruly behavior. Numerous videos of foreigners acting as if they had discovered a gold mine in Thailand show that if there is no control, the majority of foreigners will go bonkers when they learn about the 5000K rooms and 50 baht meals.

The sad part of incidents alike this, those of lower ranks do not dear to do anything, or would effectively had been stopped by the local police advice. If it was not for her father had connections, this would never had been a case.

 

So  call it progress. What he did affect all of us, and be welcome to chase down every other scum acting like him.

 

Just local news today at our village, a police man beating a young boy, being prosecuted. So it is not only foreigners being chased, even police.

 

As well the swiss guy outed his guy showing off messages from his phone today. Have not got them translated yet, but looks like the corrupt policeman going down as well.

This is a big issue for me because I find it quite irksome how all (and I mean ALL) of the Asians I meet (Malaysians, Hong Kong'ers, Singaporeans mainly) express shock and disbelief at the stupidity of Europe in allowing their lands to be flooded with millions of foreigners. They seriously cannot get their head around it. The same goes for the online Forums I read, you get the same disbelief, but it's usually expressed in an even more negative and racist way. They laugh at and deride the stupidity of The West. The point being here that these Asian people do not think it is in any way racist or xenophobic to have strict immigration controls. You can see this actually borne out by the extreme limits on immigration in many Asian nations (e.g. China, Japan) where there is effectively zero immigration allowed, and generally, regional leaders do not at all shy away from openly expressing their firm intent to keep undesireable foreigners out, even their brother muslims in the case of the Rohingya refugees and Malaysia/Indonesia.

 

The 'opinion' you generally get to this in the western media is - "Yes, but we're better than them, so we shouldn't sink to that level of discrimination".

Isn't that the very essence of racism right there?

Then we have the situation in Gaza, where the moral superiority of The West is exposed as one big lie. I find it all seriously embarassing.

Logic dictates the 'dick' considered the steps to be part of the rental property title - who in their right mind builds outside of the property.

Logic dictates the 'dick' would ask politely or rudely the person sitting on them to remove themselves from the property he is renting.

Logic dictates it needs to be determined whether he 'kicked' or 'tripped'.  

 

Therefore logic dictates if he tripped he is merely wrong for rudely telling the Thai to remove their arse from the steps of the property which turned out wasn't part of the property = slap on the wrist.

 

If it was a kick, then under Thai law = fine.

 

To revoke a visa based on both media narrative, riling up the plebs, and before its been determined if the 'kick was a kick' is ridiculous and goes against a rules based legal system.

 

But this is Thailand.

 

 

Ask a Thai if they see the video and kick = 'I believe it was a kick', not 'it was a kick'.

Just been on the news, he was presenting a bunch of flowers to the ambulance driver he gave the finger to, and him at the firing range with a friend firing weapons. It has been rumoured he owned various firearms, which being a foreigner not allowed to, they are not letting this go away.

But that's not the way that extracts the most money, is it? They'll let him dangle, dig a deeper hole for himself while extracting as much cash as they can, then lock him up, and/or deport him...
