Photo-story - Where my bike’s been
It’s six years since Remembrance Sunday fell on Armistice Day, and I may be moved on next year, so we cycled to the National Monument today. A few more km round the leafy hills of KL, and then 15 km up and down the Federal Highway saw us to Spitalfields, where we were told - to our distress - this was the last day of Cider - buy one, free one… Last day! If they’d told us “today only” we’d have been happy -

Increase in food poisoning in 2023 to 2024 - supporting statistics?
It seems on the social media about THailand that there are more and more people getting food poisoning whilst on holiday in Thailand. Some of them requiring hospitalisation. I visit visited Thailand in 1994 and lived here for over 20 years - to this day I have contracted some form of tummy upset 3 times. The first was shellfish, the second was salmon a western restaurant and the third was unidentified but serious food faeces contamination - however over a period of 30 years I would say that is not statistical outlier for any country. So what (if anything) has changed? - Is the country losing a battle against hygiene whilst accepting ever higher concentrations of tourist in te mai tourist centres? Are there any statistics to clarify the situation? We all know how to get sick tummies in Thailand and we all know it has (until now?) been relatively safe. So can anyone come up with an evidence based comment on the situation (please no anecdotal or apocryphal stories!) -

EV Charging Stations (CS)
When O&A, we usually use EV Station Pluz, as they're located where we stop usually, PTT Parks. Since there for dog walk, stretch, P & a munch, we simply plug in. So charging adds very little, if any time to our journey. Other vendors we've used are, MG, PEA (@ Bangchak usually), Elexa. All along our routes, and all having food & facilities we're stopping for to use. Actually, very rare that we stop 'to charge'. Simply charge while stopped. Many times when settled in somewhere, we'll go out for a munch, and with so many PTTs & Banchaks, if convenient, we'll park there, plug in, and stroll to the restaurant. -

Visa income observations and TIN application questions
Samut Prakan and Mueang Samut Parkan offices outright refuse and the TRD helpline still doesn't answer the phone. I dont have a pink ID. My understanding was you can only get one if you own a property and have a yellow book . Is that true ? Context: I rent. Long term OA visa holder on basis of retirement (10+ years) Not married. Swissquote where i hold about half of my investments just asked me for the pink card in lieu of a TIN - now in a deep tizzy because I can provide neither a TIN or a Pink ID. I told them to read this forum and for my protection i've just opened an Interactive Brokers account if they decide to debank me. I'll perhaps get another year for the TRD to get it's ducks in a row. According to the TIN instruction page you must go to your local office to get a TIN but should also be able to go to any office. Has anyone tried out of territory registration in the main Bangkok TRD or any other office? -

*How to find* farang computer doctor for Macintosh?
I appreciate your detailed post @pattayasan, but clearly you didn't read the opening post on this thread. This thread is NOT about updating an operating system. (That may be required, but that is not the topic here.) Thanks, anyway, for your good intentions.- 1

Where do you buy Ivermectin for human use at reasonable price in Thailans
I have also heard about this. Another anti-parasitic drug called Fenbendazole is also reported to have anti-cancer effects. Very interesting, since mainstream medicine seems to have been stuck on another track for quite a while.
