With respect and IMO, it is the yellow establishment in Bangkok that is scamming Thailand to this very day! I refer to him as "sir" because I lived in the North of Thailand (Lanna) and benefitted from all the improvement projects he introduced throughout his 2 terms as a truly democratically elected PM, also the one term with his sister as a truly democratically elected PM. Basically, prosperity was brought to the north in tourism, agriculture, infrastructure and business investment. I witnesed these and that is why I do not give a damn about the hatred that eminates from down south. I bet many of you moaners were not even around during Thaksin and Yingluk's terms as PM.

Shame they were crooks.

Presumably that doesn't bother you?

  • Wow he even hired a nurse to walk with him for PR. It's like a Thai soap opera but in real life!

  • Thai comedy hour in full force.

  • Yes, they are sticking to some plan here. I see we still have a neck collar, but the arm sling has gone. He also seems to be walking unaided...... fit enough to go back to jail if it were not all too

Correct. I, and many other Northern folk, do not regard them as crooks, as can be seen by the reception he is currently getting in Chiang Mai. If you want crooks, look at the yellow business magnates, military, parliamentarians (excluding MFP) and the so-called "establishment" - the people who stitched up the Shinawatras! I now live in Cambodia so maybe I will be able to see them during another cross-border visit.

Did they kill anyone? I know others who did.

Time to let it go folks.

The irony is that the police are now preventing redshirts from getting anywhere near Thaksin. They're just wondering when he's going to seek justice for those killed and jailed after he was able to just walk away.

He sold his own supporters, voters and MFP down the river so he could keep his filthy loot and come back to Thailand without serving a proper prison term.

Chinese gangster.

Smart guy then.

What a miraculous recovery from his supposed medical problems that were used as the excuse to release him.

If I were Thai, I would be deeply concerned (not to mention embarrassed) about the direction this country is heading.

Convicted criminals (more than just one, do your research), convening in Chiang Mai with the sitting PM.

That is if you even believe he was sick in the first place.

Which I don't.
