The difference between the two is one of them will only be booted out by the people (revolution0 the other will be booted out by the military (coup d'etat).

You mean dictator, but in Thailand if this ever happens it will only be the military. Oddly enough they run the show under the orders from their boss. Civilian governments either kowtow to the military or face dissolution or a military coup.

The problem is in Thailand  is ''which influential Boss? ''figure sits behind the so called leaders and actually pulls the puppet strings ,, Is it Taksin , a general, the chap in Deutschland , or another big business figure , or is it a cabal of old money and influence that never goes away .

Because its never the elected government or even the coup idiots

Not exactly a dignified visit to a ex Kymer Rouge officer with a history as a serial killer against his political opponents, and a land-grabbing billionaire. Sen is a blight on the history of Southeast Asia and will likely be remembered as one of the true despot dictators. Due to the weakness of the West he was allowed to disguise himself as a democratically elected leader.

You have to admire his suit. Very Conservative.

the two-day visit will focus on cooperation between Pheu Thai and the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP).

And cooperation between two of ASEAN"s powerful families - the Shinawatras and the Huns. (Hun is surname in Cambodia).

I wonder if she'll be in Myanmar soon... leaders so alike.

Well they are very similar in terms of a complete lack of morality and total moral bankruptcy, and a willingness to do anything to acquire and protect big money interests. But the major difference is that the Thai Army are not serial killing fools and let us hope that they don't attempt that. In my opinion that would be the downfall of the army. Which would be a great thing for the nation.
