Any suggestions for jeans shop for a tall westerner ??

Been too long since I was home and my western stuff getting raggedy, need a few pairs of casual fit / non skinny jeans, like a levi 550 / 560 in man sized (western fit 38W 34L). I am 192cm tall but thats hardly hardly a giant needing specialist 'big and tall' back home but its outside of 99% of what I can physically try in chiang mai. So need to do a big city shop and have zero idea of where to go other that pratunam / platinum ?? Hate shopping with a passion also, so desire park, walk in, get jeans, get out, with minimal browsing in a perfect world !!

Online ordering has also been a gip, Thai sizing seems to run small and even if I can find 38 or 40 Thai sized, they just seem to make the waist fatter so the whole fit is wrong. Thighs tight and too short. Its the fit thats as much a thing as the size, skinny jeans are not middle aged guy fit 😂 No pre distressed, carpenter hooks, or dragons printed on the back pockets !!

Anyone have suggestions for large selection of large sizes ?? Light casual fit jeans in 38-40w and 34L..

I get most of my clothing from stores in Us or from Amazon

2 to 3 weeks and they are here.

I find trying to get gear here is a nightmare

Yeah actually been doing that.. Mixed results but yeh..

But I have some travel coming up and need some now.. Am down from chiang mai anyway doing the wifes 3 visas needed for our summer, and just would like a few fresh pairs..

So.. Tall guy shops ?? Surely a city the size of bangkok must have 38x34 casual fit jeans.

Have you looked at Uniqlo, go online for the bigger sizes, I was told that by a member of staff,

Same here. I am about the same size and it seems impossible to find long chinos in Bangkok, not even in online shops. I just ordered ones from US Amazon.

If you are in Bangkok try MBK, there are a couple of shops with adult sized clothing.

Singapore was only place I managed to get decent size jeans . Any I bought in Thailand were always far too tight for what the sizes were on labels .

Now I only buy jeans from UK and get people coming out here to take them here for me .

My size is 36 x 32 and I find them all the time at some outlets that carry what I assume are 2nd hand or factory reject Dockers.  I quit wearing jeans 30 or so years ago when I discovered how much more comfortable Dockers (and generic copies) are, than a new pair of jeans.  I don't have the patience any more to break in the denim.  (Besides, I can wear Dockers to work where jeans aren't acceptable)  I suspect their selection may be sparse in larger sizes, but they may be worth a look.

In the malls, I look for the pop-up kiosks with dozens of pairs of pants hanging with a 150 baht sign.  Sometimes, it's a 200 baht sign.  They're scattered all over Bangkok, in malls and in several locations in Chinatown.    It's always hit or miss on the exact size and on the colors, but the price is right at about 150 baht to 250 baht a pair.    In Chinatown, there's a vendor on the inside loop inside the Khlong Thom market.  She has a table of pants and I've seen her in that location for at least 8-10 years.  I don't go there specifically for the pants, but occasionally stop by when I pass by her, or the kiosks in the malls.

Edit:  I'd add that they often have jeans, too.  But it's hit and miss, and I've never looked at the sizes.

I bought big size jeans in Robinson a couple of years ago. Then I visited them again, they didn't have them anymore.

Then I searched online and found exactly the same jeans with the size I needed in Lazada for maybe 20% of the original price. It seems they had them there as a rest sale because nobody wanted that size. I bought them all, I think 5 pairs. 😉

36 X 32 vs 38 X 34 jeans is like 12D vs 13EEE shoes
