I'm considering investing in palm oil, about 10 rai with freshly planted baby palms. Before deciding, I'd appreciate your insights on two things:

 

1. Price Trends: Where do you see palm oil prices heading soon?
2. Income Calculation: Any tips for easily calculating income per rai from palm oil? Especially considering hiring workers, required tools, and other variables.

 

Any expertise to guide my decision-making would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I was reading about growing coconuts and or cacao between the palm oil trees,that way your not totally dependent on palm oil prices which at the moment is crap.

I have read about growing alternative crops between coconut palms, similar to palm oil trees, black pepper plants was one, they like the shade, but difficult to grow.

In my area Lopburi, they are a few young palm oil tree plantations, but it is very dark under them, too much shade nothing will grow.

I think coconut would work,plant a tall variety then the palm oil would still get the full sun
