Local BigC had Ayams English recipe for 39 baht a 420 gram can. The half size cans were more expensive! You take what you can get.

Makro have Brook baked beans at 100 THB per can or pack of 3 for 210 THB.

Brook is one of the best IMHO.

All the expats I know are slim and healthy (for their age).

Treat yourself. Friendship has Lurpak butter at 149 baht for 500 grams. 😊 They also have Cirio Baked Beans 380 grams for 38 baht. Italian tomatoes 😊

I neglected to mention earlier that Makro had ARO 470 gram block cheeses(Vintage, Tasty, Colby) for 99 baht. Now sold out.

But they do have the Cirio Baked Beans on a BOGOF basis. 😊

They were nearing their Sell By date, so they knocked them down to 99 baht, from 149.

Making your own in a proper pottery bean-pot with blackstrap molasses, herbs, a whole onion or two, slow-cooked for hours, is EASY and cheap. Many here don't have a real oven. There are stovetop recipes but they're not as good as slow-baked.
