I just can't imagine "foriegner caught riding a motorbike on the beach" being a news headline in Europe, Australia, US etc.

The journalism in Thailand seems to make "news" out of the smallest things.

Same for the weekly TAT expects xx,000,000 tourists.

Or a man overstayed his visa 10 days.

So strange

Quite agree, and yet, here we all are reading the clickbait. 🙄

I guess we're all strange too.... 😋

How many times have you had to quickly move out of the way walking on the Pedestrian beach walkway in Patong? What would the penalty be if a local rode into a tourist? walking on it.

It seems the rules about vehicles on the beach are very different in different countries.

I can't imagine ever seeing a vehicle on the beach when I grew up. Not in the country where I lived, and not in any neighboring country in Europe.

But I remember seeing Hollywood movies where people drove regularly with cars on the beach.

Where I grew up , Liverpool ,just north of the city you could drive on the beach from Formby to Southport. They even had special beach police to catch speeders.

Enraged netizen driving his pickup on the beach, stops to get out and film a dirty foreigner riding his motorcycle on the beach.

But be careful where you stand!  Don't disturb all those automobile tire tracks on the beach.

Amazing.
