Shirtless farangs in eating places and farangs grabbing a girls ass or a guy walking down the street with with his hand on his girls ass are both considered to be disrespectful and disgusting in Thai culture.

Never seen that happen in Thailand - only Pattaya.

Wouldn't that be disgusting in your culture - it would mine.

Thai people generally welcome tourists and make allowances for us. The main grizzles I have found are:

* Burping after a meal

* Passing gas (Is it true Thai people don't fart?)

* Farangs who do not shower enough.

* Farangs who fail to show respect for their culture

Peter

Thai people not only fart, but it is a source of endless amusement to many. While they may not want to cut one in public, they will find it entertaining if you do, and farting ranks as a fail-safe source of fun among friends and family.

Great fun for my kids if I let rip after a spicy meal.

"Papa toot! Papa toot!" all over the house.

When you get all worked up about needing only 35,000 Baht a month to live "comfortably."

:o

In most cases complaining that you have only 35,000 baht a month would cause some outrage.

then we know different cases
