Has social media made the world a better or worse place .

The internet use to be considered as one of the best inventions since sliced bread as it was a learning tool for each and every kid who had access.  If you wanted to know the facts or history on just about anything you went to the internet.

In those early days I think the internet was respected and admired somewhat because it was so invaluable for information and all considered true and correct.

Sadly however,   as years went on and the internet got bigger and bigger then the media platforms like FB, Twitter and Tik Tok came into the picture as there was money to be made,  and it's genuine use as a learning tool in schools and at home became less and less,  which you can thank FB, GAMERS, Tik Toks, and many others for.

Now this mega conglomerate internet network is full of scams, fake information, false photos and untrue claims are endless,  it has turned from a useful learning tool into a monster of deception and weirdness.  It's hard to decipher what is true and correct now on the internet, and there are so many nutters on social media now out to make money.

I only use LINE app as a simple communication tool to stay in touch with two or three friends and that's about it,  the internet is still a good source for information on any subject,  provided you can decide what's true and what's fake.

The biggest issue is that females now don't get their attention seeking fix from trying to impress local boys, but from likes to their half naked social media posts and disgusting simps who shower them with affection in their messengers.

This leads to men in their 20s and 30s not getting even the chance to talk to girls and getting no dates whatsoever as the females in their age group and on their attractiveness level are just focusing on their 'careers' and if they are in need of sex, they just swipe on Tinder to the top 1% of men who will hookup but aren't interested in a relationship.

Social Media or the post male Internet (including the iPhone which made the Internet available to females) has catapulted us into a society where females have the absolute control over everything.

And if I go to Instagram or Youtube Shorts, the 3rd clip I have to watch is some prostitute telling me how good she is on her knees and I should subscribe to her OnlyFans.

That's the feminism you boomers gave us!

So thats why all these guys are in Thailand.

On the plus side, it has made porn easier to access. No need to get a magazine from the back room in a plain brown wrapper.

Hi Tom! Honestly? Social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter are great for connecting globally and discovering diverse perspectives. However, you're right. They can also feel overwhelming with superficial content, misinformation, and algorithmic quirks... Personally, I enjoy Reddit for its community-driven discussions and variety of interests. Some people buy reddit accounts or other profiles to sidestep algorithmic biases and focus on authentic interactions. It's about finding a balance between enjoying the benefits of social media while being mindful of its pitfalls. Peace.
