Kanika Aunjit, the government's Deputy Spokesperson, has praised local authorities on their combined efforts to tackle major drug operations aimed at promoting public safety.

The Ministry of Public Health, spearheaded by Somsak Thepsutin, has recently updated regulations to make possession of even a single methamphetamine pill illegal. The new policy labeled "One User, One Dealer, One Producer," intends to track and confiscate the assets of drug makers.

Kanika has stressed the severity of the methamphetamine problem in Thailand, with the drug making up 80% of the country's drug use. This issue results in considerable economic and social damage while negatively impacting the health of users and their families. She pointed to the success of large drug busts as proof of the authorities' efficiency, including the seizure of over 300,000 pills in Nong Khai and 6 million pills in Chiang Rai.

The anti-drug campaign is a joint effort between various agencies, involving the Northern Border Narcotics Suppression Command, the Pha Muang Task Force, and other relevant officials. The government has expressed gratitude towards their dedication to the cause.

Furthermore, Kanika reassured that the government will persist in its rigorous campaign against drugs and illegal activities to preserve social order and the safety of the public. This cooperative effort requires smooth collaboration between administrative authorities, the police, the military, and security agencies to implement the law effectively.

So much money tied up in drugs and people of influence peddling misery.

What do you think really happens to all the drugs confiscated by border patrols, military or the RTP ?

You think they incinerate it?

Some will, but mostly incinerated by those lower down the food chain.

They sell it, having burned a limited amount in front of the cameras.
