2 appointments: tooth removal and filling printed on a receipt for another removal.
Mine were for taking a mold and putting the dentures in.

Did you only submit an appointment slip?

I'm scheduled for a dental checkup+ cleaning and a separate appointment for a tooth crown procedure. Would that be sufficient for a DTV?

Some reports indicate "yes" - but it varies based on where you apply, and hard to predict if/when they change what is deemed acceptable.   if applying in Laos, can return Visa-Exempt from there w/o issue, if the DTV doesn't work out.

There are two reports in another topic, now closed, about lightening-fast approvals of 90-day reports:

I applied a week ago using almost exactly what you described, I just added another appointment for a checkup after 95 days. The status changed from pending document check to pending approval after just 4 business days. So I may have a good answer for you very soon.

DTV approved today.  I applied at the Chicago Consulate last Saturday. So I got it on the 6th business day. I had a friend go to our Dentist and set up the appointments for me and get the slips.  Had to send her back to get them on proper slips like a receipt. She then just sent me a picture of the slips.  I set up appointments for a teeth cleaning and then 2 for a crown, with another check-up appointment 95 days later.  If anyone wants to go that route, just make sure it's a proper slip with the Dental places name and the Doctors name with the appointments.  Not sure if the check-up down the road was necessary but it worked great!!

Usually they want you to go in for a checkup before they schedule a crown or other procedure.

Guys what is the approval time for the DTV in Vientiane? In other words how many days should I book a hotel there?

I think it was mentioned once or twice in the thread but the thread is 50 pages long now.

Any other tips for this Vientiane trip from people that did it are appreciated. I used to do Savannakhet non-o but never done this one.

I will be sure to post my experience here in a few weeks.

Thanks.

For the 500,000 baht in your bank account. Does that money have to have been there for X months? Or can I simply transfer 500,000 baht to a bank account today, get a bank account statement and then apply for the visa tomorrow?

Ok great. My current passport needs to be renewed next year. Since the visa is 5 years. How do you go about transferring the visa to your new passport once you get a new passport?

You can't transfer the visa itself. If it's a classic sticker visa (Vientiane and Savannakhet don't issue eVisas yet), you'll need to carry both your then canceled passport with the visa and your new passport for as long as the visa will remain valid to re-enter Thailand on that visa.

You might want to consider getting your new passport before applying for a 5-year visa.

All the information is on their website. Including booking your appointment and how long it takes to process.

Any positive reports of getting a DTV at Savannakhet as of yet.

Also any idea on the processing time here or should I bank on it being the same as Vientiane.

They have a website that tells how long the processing time is.
