This guy owes me 20 minutes or so of my life - his YouTube video was quite useless

I guess he could come to AN and learn something from the highly knowledgeable members here, it would be like getting a medical degree from youtube, or TikTok

I see a new article on PattayaMail's home page talking about the need to get a TIN during the calendar year 2024, even if you owe nothing.

Assuming he was quoted accurately in context, that tax expert should research more. Phuket branch of Thai RD refused to give me a TIN even though I spend >180 days here. Other factors also come in to the equation.

How about threatening the tax officers to force them so give you a TIN........Some farang are so desperate to pay taxes their world is falling apart...

A TIN is not only useful to PAY taxes, but also to CLAIM them. I havea TIN since several years, haven't paid a single baht in taxes ever, but have claimed over 100K in withholding taxes back over the years 🙂
