A female passenger was assaulted by a motorcycle rider after refusing to pay an additional fare. The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred in an alley off On Nut 41 when the rider dismounted his motorcycle and physically attacked the woman, kicking and punching her until she fell to the ground.

The woman had booked a ride from Huai Khwang to Soi On Nut 41 through a ride-hailing application, which set the fare at 66 baht (US$ 1.8). Upon reaching her destination, she paid the rider 70 baht (US$ 1.9). However, the rider disputed the fare and showed her his phone to argue the price.

As the woman attempted to contact the ride-hailing service to report the issue, the rider became enraged, jumping off his motorcycle and assaulting her without restraint. He then fled the scene on his motorcycle, leaving her lying on the ground.

Further investigation into the incident revealed that the perpetrator was the same rider who had threatened a journalist from Channel One four months ago. This earlier incident occurred on February 8, when the rider demanded the journalist cancel a ride request.

When the journalist refused, stating that the rider should cancel the request himself since he had declined the ride, the rider threatened to assault the journalist if he did not comply. The rider did turn up as threatened but fled upon seeing a group of journalists present, reported KhaoSod.

Police are currently searching for the rider, whose identity has been confirmed through the motorcycle and clothing seen in the CCTV footage. The police urge anyone with information on the rider’s whereabouts to come forward.

In related news, a German woman filed a complaint against a Thai motorcycle taxi rider in Phuket, accusing him of sexual assault. The suspect denied the allegation, claiming that the foreign woman hugged him throughout the ride.

So... where is there mention of sexual assault? Did the win guy do anything?

Holding onto a motorcycle rider is safer than putting hands behind the back and holding on to the grab bar.

Was therd or not an assault?

Little confusing for me on the use of "passenger", and "rider".     Isn't there a "driver" involved somehow?

Really?! A driver is called a rider when it comes to motorbikes. Not confusing at all.

Thai media update.

“June 13, - Mr. Anon, the rider involved in a recent altercation, immediately apologizsd upon meeting reporters. He explained that the incident occurred yesterday around 09:00 when a passenger mistakenly set the pickup point at Soi Pracharat Bamphen 18 instead of Soi Pracharat Bamphen 20. The ride to Soi On Nut 41 was supposed to cost 131 baht according to the app.

However, upon arrival, the passenger paid only 66 baht, insisting that the fare couldn't be different. When attempts to contact the app for clarification failed, Mr. Anon proposed going to the Phra Khanong Police Station to resolve the issue, but the passenger refused and continued trying to reach the app.

Meanwhile, Mr. Anon received another booking from Soi On Nut 54, which added to his frustration. He asked the passenger to pay the full fare of 131 baht so he could proceed with his next job, but the passenger didn't comply. Overwhelmed by stress and losing a customer, Mr. Anon admitted he lost control and assaulted the passenger.

Reflecting on his actions, Mr. Anon expressed regret and noted that he should have insisted on going to the police station rather than resorting to violence. He reported to the police at Phra Khanong as requested and is awaiting further proceedings. He confirmed being permanently banned from the app and accepted full responsibility for his actions.

Mr. Anon acknowledged his short temper and promised cooperation with the police. He urged the app to address fare discrepancies, which riders often bear. Regarding a controversial voice clip, he clarified that his statements were misinterpreted.

In his final remarks, Mr. Anon apologised and emphasised that the incident was not a momentary lapse in judgment but a result of escalating circumstances. He urged the public to consider multiple perspectives before judging.

“I'm sorry. It wasn't a momentary lapse but a result of the situation. This wouldn't have happened if you had agreed to go to the police station with me initially,” Mr. Anon concluded.”

"During the ride, the motorcycle taxi rider allegedly touched her genitals, forcibly grabbed her hand, and placed it on his penis. He also attempted to kiss her, prompting her to jump off the motorcycle. She suffered minor injuries and was shocked by the assault."

The question here is how this guy can still have his license left, be allowed to work for the same company and still service people when he has been abusive before. Seriously, the police must start to work in this country.

Nobody cares. Thailand - Hub Of Apathy. The police often don't even investigate child sexual assault unless forced to by social media. A taxi fare dispute? Forget it.

A taxi fare dispute? Did you read the news article. He assaulted a customer! Just, maybe a tad over a little dispute? Right?

That's not a motorcycle. That's a penis extender for people with small ones. Motorcycles can go very fast, can corner well, have effective brakes, etc.  Harleys can do none of those.

I've done 140MPH  with a passenger on board    (1340cc engine ) 26deg lean, disc brakes front and rear

and as far as an extension ..  I have nothing to prove or compensate for ...... I would say it's more a magnet
