Wandr
I haven't done any Amazon-ing from Thailand, hence my tax question. When I order 1 item, cost about $20, Amazon does not charge Thai tax, but there is a delivery charge. When I increase the purchased amount to $35-40, there is no delivery charge, but I have to pay tax. I thought Thai tax kicked in after 1500 baht, and $35 is way less. Any thoughts? Tricks? Way around?
Celsius
My advice is to make use of that free delivery to Thailand as it is only a limited time offer that comes up from time to time.

jas007
I’ve ordered all sorts of junk from Amazon for delivery here in Thailand. As I recall, if the item is less than about $20 or maybe $30 dollars, no Thai tax is collected. Items totaling more than that get taxed. Sometimes the tax seems extremely high. And sometimes, I later get a refund to my credit card for part of the tax. I guess someone looks at those items and if they think too much tax was collected, they refund the excess.
