Thankfully very, very, very few people die from covid everyday here in Thailand. Less than one everyday so far this year.

Yeah, Asian countries generally do better than Western countries in terms of covid deaths. I wonder why.

I am far more concerned with the common flu, than with covid, at this stage. Won't say anymore.

  • STOP!  Stop!!!   It is a cold!     Get over this hype!

Maybe it's the way that covid deaths are reported/determined.

I found this report that uses data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention so reporting of covid deaths should be consistent. Mortality rates dropped over summer for all racial and ethnic groups; white Americans have highest rates in most months of 2023.

I'm thinking it is a cultural difference.

Just curious, are Thais still masking up on BTS?

I've had both Delta and Omicron. Not sure how many times I've had Omicron. Once for sure. Had some colds which may have been Omicron or may not have been. Hard to tell as the symptoms as you well know are very similar.

That's what you get for ignoring advice on reducing the chances of catching covid, the same as others did who are now in a box......🥴

You come on here telling folk not to do this or that, yet you, have caught it many times following your own advice..............🤣

You can't make this sh_t up...........😆

A minority,  maybe 30% or 40%

How do you explain covid spreading like wildfire in China when the zero covid lockdown was lifted and from what I saw at the time mask wearing seemed like it was at 100%. The virus is very, very small i.e. aerosolized and will spread. Apart from this it's a virus that everyone will be exposed to. Jabs, masks doesn't matter. It's related to part of the common cold family of viruses and will be around for decades to come.

Obesity, diabetes with complications, and anxiety and fear-related disorders had the strongest association with death.

I guess you could put people's obsession with COVID in that bracket.

Thing is when you can't answer a question an support it rationally this is always your retort. If you've got nothing to say don't say anything.

I have said it, I have read your BS on covid over a few years, you are that stupid you have caught it many times because the advice that has been out there, you have trashed.

That, is incredibly funny.................🤣

There's a very close to 100% if not 100% chance you too have been exposed to Covid. It's a virus that can be asymptomatic. You do not know you have the virus in your system. A very clever piece of evolution which we are witnessing in real time. Of course our immune system attacks the virus and kills it. Well most it. The bits that have evaded our immune system then reproduce and jump to other hosts and after some time a new variant has evolved and the process continues. If you think wearing a mask, washing your hands and being jabbed for the rest of your life means you will never be exposed to the aerosolized viral particles of SarsCov2 now in the Omicron era, then I'm not sure I'm the stupid one.

Go away, muti-time covid catcher..................🙄

It seems that on this occasion they are not talking about more vaccines.

There is a good reason for that. Many qualified professionals and healthcare workers are calling for the ... mRNA vaccines to be banned until the proper research has been carried out. These vaccines were given an emergency licence during the Covid pandemic but now the risk level has dropped dramatically they should be subject to the same stringent testing that all other vaccines are subject to.

I have had multiple vaccinations  but have had confirmed Covid  twice.

Where , how, and  why do you believe  you have justification in demeaning the opinion of another based on your own ?

1. The vast majority of major medical and public health organizations around the world continue to support and endorse COVID vaccines as the best, safest method of protecting against the disease. Despite that, there remains a vocal minority of health professionals -- generally from fields not specific to COVID or infectious diseases -- who continue to promote COVID and vaccine misinformation.

Report spotlights 52 US doctors who posted potentially harmful COVID misinformation online

"The authors said that while medical misinformation was spread long before the COVID-19 pandemic, the internet boosts the reach and speed of dissemination, potentially exacerbating the consequences.

They noted that about a third of the more than 1.1 million reported COVID-19 deaths in the United States as of January 18, 2023, were considered preventable if public health recommendations such as vaccination and physical distancing had been followed."

2. The main COVID vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna, including the versions currently in use, have full approval from regulators in the U.S. and many other countries. In the U.S. by way of example, those full approvals followed the initial Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs) given at the beginning of the pandemic. The primary COVID vaccines underwent the normal testing and clinical trials process as with other vaccines leading to their full regulatory approval.

FDA Takes Action on Updated mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines to Better Protect Against Currently Circulating Variants

September 11, 2023

https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-takes-action-updated-mrna-covid-19-vaccines-better-protect-against-currently-circulating

There are FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines in the U.S. as of May 2023

"FDA press releases, which are publicly available online, show that the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine was approved for people over 16 on 23 August 2021. It was later approved for individuals between the ages of 12 and 15 on 8 July 2022. The FDA also approved the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for individuals over 18 on 31 January 2022.

...

In summary, two COVID-19 vaccines are FDA-approved: the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for people aged 12 or older and the Moderna vaccine for people aged 18 or older. Claims stating the opposite are therefore false. These vaccines and others are also authorized for use in other age groups or as booster shots under EUA. It is important to note that EUAs still require clinical trials demonstrating the effectiveness and safety of vaccines. Vaccines authorized under EUAs thus aren’t experimental."

COVID-19 mRNA vaccines were tested in clinical trials, aren’t experimental

"COVID-19 mRNA vaccines went through multiple stages of clinical testing to ensure their safety and effectiveness. As they’ve already cleared clinical trials, they’re no longer experimental. The trials and real-world data have also shown that COVID-19 vaccines are effective at reducing the risk of severe disease and death."

"There are many reasons why the COVID-19 vaccines could be developed so quickly. Here are just a few [highlights excerpted to comply with forum fair use quoting rules]:

  • The COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna were created with a method that has been in development for years, so the companies could start the vaccine development process early in the pandemic.

...

  • The vaccine developers didn’t skip any testing steps, but conducted some of the steps on an overlapping schedule to gather data faster.
  • Vaccine projects had plenty of resources, as governments invested in research and/or paid for vaccines in advance.

Same here, and never sick. Confirmed by a PCR test that isn't very accurate or even testing for a specific virus. Same with the ATK kits.

Typically you avoid the intent of comment. That being that people can have personal opinion that need not necessarily concur with opinion of greater consensus.

To raise questions about issues other than the immediate efficacy of Covid vaccines IMO should be regarded as legitimate.

There have been numerous examples of pharmaceuticals deemed safe that in the longer term proven to have serious problems.

While for the vast majority who, myself included, there has been no apparent issues there are others that have indeed suffered significant damage. If there were no concerns raised in the public domain it is quite likely the "pharma Industry " would prefer to obscure than reveal.

Pfizer has been found to have caused vaccine  damage  in 1996 in an unethical  "experimental" trial on children using a product already known to have caused problems in adult trials.

Even  one such incident gives justifiable cause for calling full transparency in the face of overwhelming product advocacy !

A post with a misleadingly presented graphic (which excerpted only a misinformation claim out-of-context) has been removed.

The correct content from the cited source is the following:

A Covid-19 vaccine “Q&A” sheet has been circulating on social media. It presents a checklist of claims about the vaccine, alongside ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ answers. Some of the claims are inaccurate and suggest the mRNA vaccines may be dangerous.

The Covid-19 vaccines have been tested to the same high standards as any vaccine would be. While side effects are common, these are overwhelmingly minor and pass within a few days.
